    Another win for knowledge.
Such a thing simply does not exist -- disputes are usually sophistic, if not purely emotional...

When you evaluate the p4p fighter it means can his 112 pound skill level be successful if he weighed in at 175?
It has nothing to do with opponents!!!
P4P is a completely worthless concept that's impossible to evaluate without seriously biasing one of the fighters you're comparing. If a 112 guy naturally weighed 175 lbs he would no longer be the same fighter from an athletic POV, which would affect how effective he would be in the ring using that same skillset.

      • Skills and talents have nothing to do with weight!
You can have speed at 112 and have speed at 175.
Look at Arguello at 126 and look at Spinks at 175, both stand up boxer/punchers who look to land similar shots and have similar defensive skills. Their aren't exact copies but their techniques and methodology are very similar.

p4p king is a talent who could reign in any weigh division because of the skill set and willingness to win.
Could Ali be shrunk to 5'5" 126lbs? Sure his name was Willie Pep! Both lateral movers, both used leaning away tactics, both made their opponents lead and both outstanding champions. Great jabs, great hand speed, great foot speed and outstanding balance on the move!

ATG's can be p4p Kings and most can reign in any era!

Skills can't just be isolated from physical variables. The ability, for example, to consistently land crisp pinpoint punches in bunches relies to a large degree on stamina. Smaller fighters can generally keep up a higher workrate than, say, a heavyweight, due to the nature of their bodies. Transplant Chocolatito up to heavyweight and he'd gas the fcuk out fighting the way he does for the simple fact that bigger bodies cannot expend that level of effort over more than a few rounds. On the other hand, shrink Fury down to flyweight and he'd be considerably faster and lighter on his feet. This is never taken into account, however. It's always the smaller fighter who gets to upgrade his physical variables to compete with the higher weights. That's why it's inherently biased.

would u bet against him against anyone at 168? u have go up to 175 people way bigger then he is to possibly be dumb enough to bet against ward

              • Seriously I think your full of it..................
Of course work rates are different from 112 to 210, all of that is taken into consideration!
The problem with rating a p4p king is trying to find a "list"!
There's usually one real p4p King every 20 years or so and the greatest was from 65 to 75 years ago.
If Fury was at 112 someone would have to butter his bread for him, I don't he could lift a knife! Where as Chocolatito would knock him out inside 5 rds!

                good luck...........

No one had Rigo ranked at number one.

I personally had Rigo dropped off the list too.

Ward has fought at 168+ in the ams and in the pros many times. He isn't "small" compared to anyone at light heavy. The guy is 6 foot/6'1'' and compares favourably to everyone in the division. In fact, he is taller than Stevenson.

                    • Ward's opposition has been terrible since the Super Six. We can't keep using the skills he showed in 2011 to justify his ranking now.

If the Kovalev fight doesn't happen for ANY reason this fall he needs to come off the list.
