Why isn't WBA forcing a purse bid on Jacobs v. Golovkin?

He knew if he ordered a purse bid, Jacobs would end up vacating since he wouldnt be getting the fat pay day he wants in order to fight GGG and therefore he would vacate and then the WBA would lose out on sanctioning fees.

Basically what everyone else said, its better to have two fighters ponying up sanctioning fees than one.

clearly Jacobs-Mora is one of the biggest fights that can be made in boxing right now and would easily do over 650k buys on PPV........

You can't depend on the WBA, WBC, IBF or the WBO to always do what they say they are going to do. They are all full of **** and completely undependable.

This is the right answer. Jacobs was scheduled for the July 30th card. As it turns out, that isn't happening anymore and his next fight is pushed down later, but it's still against Sergio Mora.

We'll see what the WBA decides to do after that. I have no faith in them. They are the worst of the worst and make the WBC look good, no easy task.
