Comments Thread For: DiBella: Wilder vs. Joshua is Inevitable in Future, But Not Now

Lou DiBella liked what he saw from Anthony Joshua as the heavyweight titleholder dominated Dominic Breazeale on Saturday. But the promoter, who's been working on a number of shows involving boxers advised by Al Haymon, believes that Joshua isn't yet the complete version of himself.

Translation: Di Bella knows that Joshua knocks Wilder out. Easily.

He's right. They are just contenders with names but neither guy has done much. There is a difference between marinating a fight that needs to happen (Canelo/GGG) versus 2 contenders trying to establish themselves in the division.

I dont see Joshua taking on any of the top guys until 2017.

Parker in November or so, maybe another **** fight like Price and thatll probably do him for 2016.

... on another hand: Wilder will never get to be a "complete version of himself"... therefore...

also its pretty funny that he's pretending joshua is just some prospect when he has wild swinging no technique wilder over there. yea joshua won his belt from charles martin who is a complete bum but remember who stirvene won his belt from....chris arreola lmao! so why not just make the fight and get millions of dollars. you could win but then again you know you won't. keep racking up those small little paydays. over time they will equal one big one and you will still have your pride and undefeated record thank the lord

Guessing they are hoping this one will be big enough for PPV in the US in a year or two. I see the economic sense in waiting but just hope neither of them lose before they get to that point.
