I'm not really excited at the idea of this fight. Thurman wins quite easily imo. Thurman vs Brook is a much more interesting fight.

I don't think Danny is ready for Thurman. Danny called out Broner, and I think that's the route he'll take next. Broner is not as strong as Thurman or Brook. Of course Pacquiao vs. Garcia would be even better! As for Thurman, I think he should target Cotto or Bradley next! I think Cotto vs. Thurman @ 150 will be a good fight, and they'll love it at Barclay's or MSG! Cotto wants Marquez @ 150, why not Thurman? Bradley would be option B. He's not the same Bradley, but I think a win over Bradley gives Thurman more credibility than a win over DSG.

This fight will never be on network TV. All you PBC suckers who thought Haymon was great because he was giving us fights "for free" have most likely been had. He is most likely saving almost all the good fights for PPV! The free fights are advertisements to create interest in the PPVs. Why do you think he's paid for the timeslots? That's what advertisers do, pay for time slots to advertise their real product. He is going to try to make back the hundreds of millions through PPVs.
So no, this was never about bringing boxing back to free TV. It was about paying to get the fighters in front of hundreds of millions of perspective buyers, because if he can sucker even just a fraction of 1 percent of those perspective buyers into buying a few PPVs a year, he will make a profit. It's a smart business plan but it was never about the fans or free boxing.

I have to give credit to Thurman and Porter for both wanting to fight. They were both stuck in the zone where no one really wanted to fight them, so they fought each other.
I think its a 60/40 split in favor of Thurman. Thurman is the man right now to beat at 147. There should be Atleast a 10 million dollar purse to split min. But thats it.
A million is a decent number for decent fighters. I believe there above that but mayweather didnt make that much coming up. It wasnt till after the Oscar fight.
Fighters today care more about money then proving whos better and that is what is killing boxing.
If Thurman beat Garcia a bigger payday may be next with brook if brook comes here. Vargas will get trashed by Thurman.
Or maybe pac will come out and fight Thurman but i doubt it.

I would LOVE to see this fight!
Battle of the "Left Hooks".
All though someone brought up Cotto Vs. Thurman. I would buy that fight. Thurman's a big boy and will probably outweigh Cotto.
Still be a Great Fight.
