Seriously though, good fight, I think Thurman takes it comfortably. Porter made him look bad but Garcia doesn't bring that pressure or intensity, he's patient and picks his shots but Thurman will beat him to the punch. That no look-left hook won't make a dent on the top welterweights and Danny will get beat up eventually. I'm not a Danny doubter, I picked him to beat BOTH Khan and Mattysse but I think his runs stops at 147.

This fight will not happen next..... Garcia is not scared but Angel Garcia has said that unless it PPV and superstar money, why should Garcia fight a Porter or Thurman why so can fight a Salka for decent money.

I have to give credit to Thurman and Porter for both wanting to fight. They were both stuck in the zone where no one really wanted to fight them, so they fought each other.

I think you've got a strong point but I do have to admit that Garcia has proved me wrong a number of times. Notably in the way he was able to lure and catch Khan, and of course the Matthysse win. That said, we've all seen him look mediocre and I've consistently said that he's lost his counterpunching speed/timing since he's moved up. That's half his game right there. I think he's about to be harvested and Keith is the guy they always wanted to do it. Haymon has orchestrated this since the beginning and the crescendo is about to peak with these two fighting for #1 WW status.

Garcia has proven me wrong soo many times that I give up doubting him. He was a huge dog to Khan and a pretty decent underdog to Mattyesse. And all he does is Win. Some reason he fights up or DOWN to the competition in front of him... I could see this being another 50/50 fight. He probably would be another big underdog again and most likely win lol...The next fight look like dog sht against a bum but still barely win.

I could see this fight happening PBC is on life support and won't be renewed by CBS so they have no choice but to start coming up with good fights. Plus Loeffler is back in the picture so that should help.

The writer sees two undefeated fighters. I see Garcia, who has looked **** in the last few outings, and Thurman who has great great defense. Danny will land no more than 100 punches in the whole fight. He is shot already from cutting weight for so many fights. Salka-Garcia II needs to get made first.
