His highest purse to date is allegedly $2 million and virtually no other fighter brings any fans and/or money

Thurman/Porter was allegedly a success and the combined purses of the main event fighters was $2.4 million so ......

    GGG $2 million, Jacobs/BJS $400 k: fight wont happen

    GGG $1.5 million, Jacobs/BJS $900 k: fight wont happen

GGG $1 million, Jacobs/BJS $1.4 million: fight wont happen

GGG $500k, Jacobs/BJS $1.9 million: Jacobs/BJS might be tempted to start negotiations but will almost certainly hold out for more

Unless a network takes a punt or a fairy godmother appears out of this air, these fights arent happening because networks/promoters arent registered charities that are happy to take a likely loss just to give a fighter a big payday
If Golovkin's network isn't willing to back him, cross the street and fight on Showtime; Jacobs is mandatory challenger, the WBA will likely call for bids after Jacobs-Mora, and Showtime has already shown that they've been willing to put up the money for shows that they want (Daniel Jacobs and Peter Quillin split $3m on their fight for regular Showtime).

DiBella wins the bid, Showtime carries the fight, and you split the money $2m to Daniel Jacobs/$1m to Gennady Golovkin (with Golovkin's own stake going up based on what money is left not being spent on the undercard).

Listening to people ripping GGG for not offering these guys multi-million dollar deals is like watching a moron who can't solve a two piece puzzle. There's only one correct answer and it's not that hard to figure out...
Because there are other fights that the bulk of these guys can get where they'd be making more than the seeming $500k cap on what K2 seems willing to offer anyone.

Golovkin's last fight had a main event payout of $2.5m to both guys; the fact that no one seems willing to ask Golovkin to give up a penny to help make better fights is laughable.

How is it, that Eubank Jr reportedly would make upward of 3mil pounds for his fight with Golovkin but Danny & Saunders can't!!?

K2 as such won't pay ton of money but they want all the belt holders.. heck, they aren't even paying 4mil$ to GGG forget paying that to the B side..
Matchroom Sport 1)controls Sky Box Office, and the potential of hyping the show to end up generating over 12m British pounds on PPV and 2)can deliver a stadium event that is likely due to do a sizable live business with Sky Sports pushing it.

BoxNation doesn't deliver that type of money (nevermind the fact that Frank Warren hasn't staged a blockbuster show in ages), and Daniel Jacobs doesn't yet bring the PPV imo.

Man, even Floyd, the PPV king, wasn't able to offer than kind of money let alone a guy who can barely make 100K in PPV sales.

Is boxing becoming a charity or what? Throw your money for nothing other than enable some chicken? That's just adding more garbage into the sport which is already full of.

Spot on! so that means Eubank still an undercard fighter being with Matchroom & backed by Sky can generate the numbers.. So whose fault is it really if Danny & Saunders cannot get such backing from their promoters, network!!? So for the numbers you cannot bring you expect your opponent to bring..
I don't think Eubank would have for once taken the GGG fight if he had offered him the same money as Wade, Monroe etc...

If K2 is unwilling to put up the money, let the other promoter take the risk.

DiBella Entertainment, working Showtime, Barclays Center, internation TV money, sponsorship opportunies, etc, was able to seemingly pay out $4m to the fighters on the Jacobs-Quillin card and be cool with it.

If Golovkin-Jacobs gets called, DiBella wins the bid, and K2 brings Golovkin over, I have no doubt that DiBella Entertainment would be willing to take the risk on the fight.

Pay K2 $2m plus the German TV rights, have DiBella work with Stephen Espinoza to see if they can get the backing for a PPV, have DiBella and Haymon negotiate out Jacobs' guarantee on the fight, have DiBella work with Barclays Center to stage a mega-event, push the fight hard in the NY media market, and see what type of money that DiBella can generate on the fight.

& Just like that the money increases in the pot.. Here in NY(Barclays) the fight will be an absolute sellout for sure.. Good job breaking it down to the T..

Where are people getting this $13m figure from for Khan?

His guaranteed purse was 2m haha. Even his dad said he would get way more fighting Brook but the Canelo fight was to fight "the best".

These were the guaranteed purses for the event, probably before the inclusion of Canelo getting the upside of the PPV and Khan getting some too:

Saul Alvarez ($3,500,000) vs. Amir Khan ($2,000,000)
David Lemieux ($200,000) vs. Glen Tapia ($150,000)
Mauricio Herrera ($175,000) vs. Frankie Gomez ($90,000)
Curtis Stevens ($65,000) vs. Patrick Teixeira ($50,000)

Wow. Some of you are really ******ed.

                      Lets get some things clear:

                      1. Golovkin is a star in boxing and will probably become a bigger star but he will most likely never be a crossover superstar in the United States. He is from Kazakhstan...There are 20,000 Kazakhs in the United States. Jacobs will never make 5M for a fight against Golovkin, no matter how long he waits.

                      2. I'm tired of boxers claiming "its a huge fight so I have to be well compensated." If it was such a huge fight, then you would be well compensated, you idiot.

                      3. Golovkin and his team have done their part. Why hasn't jacobs raised his profile? Why doesn't he sell out arenas in new york? He got one of the worst showtime tv ratings last year against Quillin in a supposedly anticipated much, and he hasn't even fought since.

                      4. Khan didn't get 13 million LOL

                      5. The WBA was supposed to order this a while ago. If they do, then maybe jacobs can get 2.5-3 million. That is a great payday and more than 99% percent of boxers have made in their entire career. He isn't making that against anyone else.
