If that's true, then calling him the P4P No1, which many people are doing, is unjustified hyperbole, in other words, he is a hype job.
    Time will tell?

He totally shut out Kessler and schooled Froch.

The man isn't an hype job, you just can't say that.

Ward is a A+ fighter with a nice record, not great record as only Dre been in a handfull of championship fights.

Beating Kovalev would put him P4P number 1 and first ballot HOFamer.

They said that anyone from 154 to 160 is a possibility, FOR SELECTION !

They did not say that Canelo can beat everyone from 154-160.

      Stretching things a little aren't you ?

And btw, a guy who ignored FOUR YEARS of this..... "anyone from 154-168", doesn't really have the right to criticize others, and certainly doesn't have the right to accuse others of having double-standards.
Everybody at 154 to 160,” Gomez said to ******.com. “Canelo can still make 154 and he told us, ‘Look, get me the best possible fight at ’54 and ’60. So everybody is being considered.”

Everybody is considered at 54 and 60.

Except GGG at 155 I guess, exactly the same bias you're accusing GGG to do.

Now this post is an example of the hype Ward gets at this site.

He beat Kessler after fucking both his eyes up with the most blatent, unpunished head butts I have ever seen in a boxing match. You don't even mention that.

He beat Froch by just 2 rounds, with Froch coming on strong at the end and winning the last 2 rounds on all the judges cards. But to you, he "schooled" Froch.

He then refused to give either of them rematches in their own countries, after both travelled to fight him.

And those fights took place 5 years ago, at a weight Ward can no longer make. 5 years is a hell of a long time in boxing terms.

Ward has done absolutely nothing since then to justify him being ranked so high at 175 or P4P. And until he does, he is a hype job.

In other Words you failed. Try Again. It's a very simple question (even for someone like you):

How long does a win Count?

Until you are past your best, and no longer relevant..... bu Ward is still in his prime. Writing off those GREAT wins is silly, not sure why anyone would attempt to do that.

Kovalev/JDJ will certainly offer Ward a lot more respect than you guys do LMAO

Right, they were undecided, and had a number of options ranging from 154-160.

Not quite the same thing as building your reputation by publicly stating for FOUR YEARS that you can beat "anyone from 154-168".

And yet, Golovkin could have had that fight.

It is likely still there waiting for him.

What I am sick of, are the MANY excuses.

You can have wins, or you can have excuses, there is no middle ground..... you either make those big fights, because you want them, or you don't.

After 10 YEARS AS A PRO, there is no such thing as excuses.

Just disappointed that the guy who said this for FOUR YEARS..... "anyone from 154-168"..... killed yet another huge fight over the weight.

My perspective on that will never change, because the onus was on Golovkin to be a man of his word and live up to that hype.

When it came down to it, GBP never offered to fight Golovkin at 155, probably because they were worried he might accept it. They didn't want the fight to happen at any weight, period.

The reason your perspective will never change, even when the facts don't support it, is because you won't even try be honest and objective about anything concerning Golovkin.

Then Move Up here and challenge all the top 168 fighters.. Hopefully you can fight those top guys and he'd get some more credit

First of all I want to say thank you for keeping this respectful this is what it should be so thanks for that. I bolded the part about getting all the belts because we've heard them say that. But when it came to fighting Froch, Chavez jr, Hopkins, they seemed very interested in those fights at 168 which has nothing to do with collecting middle weight belts. Then they said they could beat Floyd at 154 which again has nothing to do with 160 belts. Then Sanchez said they can beat ANYBODY from 154-168.

And people run with that. With talk like that you have to back it up. If Ward wants the fight at 168, and Lara said he will fight you at 160 and you can't get any other top fights why not beat some of the best that boxing has to offer? Unless they don't think they can beat Ward or Lara.

So lil g has opportunities. But hopefully this Eubank fight is in the right direction.

So what's more impressive: Pacquiao moving up 8 weight classes breaking records. Or pussie g staying scared as fuuck in the 160 division? And pussie g ducked Lara as well, remember "Lara is boring?" Remember "Lara is pricing himself out" Remember "Lara fights with Haymon" Oh yeah that's right so did bum ass Wade but that's ok.

And the Ward pussie g fight would be at 168 DUMB ASS which is what Ward asked for you dyck rider. 15 pounds when the fight would be at 168.

So like I said that's asking pussie g to move up ONE weight class. I like how you pussie g fans try to spin the Ward situation as if Ward wasn't trying to fight pussie g at 168 and they tried to say 164. Or did you forget?

Pussie g is a fuucking fraud ass bytch, with a garbage ass resume and scared to fight elite fighters: Ward and Lara both beat the snot out of pussie g. There is a reason Sanchez and company shut the fuuck up when it comes to them.
