What makes Froch believe GGG would have accepted a fight at 172?

Froch is fortunate that Calzaghe was at the end of his career just as he was making a name for himself. Joe would've boxed his ears off and exposed Carl's lack of speed and questionable technique at an early stage. Nigel Benn was an all round better boxer and harder hitter. I'd put Carl just above Steve Collins but below Benn and Eubank.

Kovalev-Froch sounds amazing, that would be a beautiful contest. Shame he stuck his whole career at SMW. Also GGG would have taken if he cleaned the MW divisiom earlier at was fighting at SMW.

He's probably coked out of his mind again. It's funny, he's a lot more like Calzaghe than he realizes.

Froch vs GGG was a 50/50 and a great match, does GGG punch harder than Groves or Kessler?, Froch would definitely have the size advantage and strength to push GGG back. Its obvious The risk/reward wasn't right for either at the catchweight.

lol no time for this from Froch. He knows well he wasn't interested in fighting DeGale that his Golovkin offer wasn't serious.

If I was Froch I'd be paying attention to the wifey instead of talking about DeGale and Golovkin.

Froch always the talker. I remember him slightly tanked at an event giving an interview to Kugan and saying he'd lick Glenn McCrory who was standing next to him. Glenn looked over and said to Carl - "We can do it right now if you like", the brief look of fear on Carl's face was priceless. He promptly changed the subject.

Lol GGG beats froch now no problem.

Prime froch vs prime GGG at 168 would be interesting but GGG would win late KO

Kovalev on the other hand would butt **** any version of froch and quite early too. Kovalev would go to his body and froch would likely quit
