I'm a big time Mayweather fan, but even I cannot look past this ****. Mayweather should be ashamed of himself for supporting this tripe, a real ***** move whichever way you look at it.

He really shouldn't take pride in that. We all know it's a business but the fighter should not tell the fans that themselves.

Of course he does.. If Canelo was destroyed in a couple rounds that would tarnish his legacy

Bulls*it. Canelita already was the A side. It might change though, if GGG becomes undisputed and Ms Alvarez loses to someone like Andrade or Charlo. The split will be very different compared to what it would´ve been Sept 2016.

                  Well said!
Their not smart promotors, but greedy promotors. As a business you either need to sell a product or provide a service. Boxing's service is entertainment. Boxing is competing with y0u tube, ufc, football and every other sport where the best compete against the best. Why would someone who doesn't love boxing like us follow a business that only gives decent entertainment after years of waiting, sometimes past it's used by date. The promotors will make more money in the short term, yes. This comes at the cost of turning people away from the sport (new fans also) and it's long term detriment. I don't think mylod fayweather gives a stuff about that though. He needs more money as he's got bugger all.
I guess its the paradox of our age...Can see the rastafarian view on babylon now!

                    Exactly what I thought.

Tells a lot about Mayweather's mentality.

"if he loses, they lose their cash cow"

If GGG get put to sleep by somebody and shows weaknesses, then maybe Canelo will do a Floyd move.
