The British middleweight champion, who made a first defence with a four-round stoppage win over Tom Doran on Saturday, insists he wants to face the world middleweight No.1 next but needs the backing of UK broadcaster Sky Sports for it to happen in London in September.

"If it's the right deal it could happen in September. Wembley is where we would like to stage it, or the O2," said Hearn.

"No one is queuing up to fight Glolovkin. Canelo [Saul Alvarez] has lost face, Billy Joe Saunders didn't want it. There seems to be only one world class fighter who is a big enough name who's prepared to fight him."

Chris Eubank Sr, the former world middleweight and super-middleweight champion who guides his son's career, said: "If this fight doesn't happen it's because of Sky."

But Eubank Jr (23-1, 18 KOs), 26, is remaining hopeful it can happen after Saturday's comfortable win over Doran.

"This is just the start of my training camp for Golovkin," Eubank Jr said. "Tom Doran is not Golovkin. Everything I'm doing needs to be upped. You can't go into that fight unless you are 100 percent, and I was only 50 percent for Doran.

"The only way to beat someone like Golovkin is to do unconventional things. I've got some nice tricks up my sleeve for him.

So, they're planning on the fight and are waiting on the network's blessing. But, Golovkin fans are STILL saying no one wants to fight him?

Cotto was an understandable duck as his priority was fighting Canelo... And nobody is fighting GGG over the cash cow of boxing. cotto is no coward... Canelo's doesn't seem so much a duck as most circles have been saying this is more a 2017 type fight. Canelo has fougt better fighters than GGG so it's hard to call a 25 year old who's taken more risks an"ducker". Now... Jacobs, Saunders are a disgrace in that they won't fight him unless they get unusual money for their talent level. Jacobs at least has gone out on record before as saying he wasn't quite ready (though this was some time ago) so it's understandable. and you got eubank trying to get GGG to travel for him like he's some superstar like wtf is that? GGG is just in a tough spot in that he can't quite lure the cash cow into what he feels is an unfavorable situation but he's a bigger name than anyone at 160..but he's not SUCH a big name where all roads lead through him. The thing is Cotto and Canelo have any option they want. Golden Boy has to make sure that the fight builds because Canelo may lose the fight and they'll need to make damn good money off the event to stay afloat.

So we got the lesser guys in his own division NOT wanting to fight him BECAUSE he's the best there which sounds like the opposite of what used to be done but these are the times.

Golovkin needs to just fight another Wade and hold back for about 6-7 rounds..make sure he wins but look slow, look vulnerable. Look beatable to guys who have an unfavorable stylistic matchup with him. Make them go "hmmm... I can go to America AND beat GGG. He looked slow..tired.. Now is the time."

Instead everyone goes "Well if he's gonna murder me he better not just pay me a career high purse but he needs to gonabove and beyond if." All these guys will make career high paydays. But honestly...they WILL lose and go from likely making a cool mil now or close to it by NOT losing to going from 2-3 mil ONCE to fight GGG and fall into obscurity after getting tooled and make a few hundred k at best after until GGG moves to 168 because we know their ceiling.
