JLC is a guy who's fighting out of his real division. He's a weleterweight. Just look at his body build and the way he came for the 2nd Corrales fight, weighing way over the restricted limit. If Antonio Margarito is huge for the welterweight division, then JLC is just perfect. Pacquiao will not fight this guy bottomline because of the size differential. Good luck to the Mexican fight fans on finding a Mexican fighter who can finally beat Pacquiao and get revenge for knocking out their greatest fighters, but let's think realisticly.

Manny fighting JLC isnt shouldnt even be a realistic suggestion, JLC is way too big and would mop the floor with Pacman.

Of the eleven countries that were represented in the meeting that resulted in the founding of the WBC in Mexico City on Valentines Day in 1963, Mexico and the Philippines played vital roles. The earliest Presidents of the WBC were Justiniano Montano (Philippines), Luis Spota (Mexico), Prof. Ramon G. Velasquez (also of Mexico) and Onslow Fane (England). A Filipino, Atty. Rudy Salud, held the powerful position of WBC Secretary-General, in the early years of the organization.
Mexico and the Philippines however never had a WBA president, which, was US dominated until 1974, then a chattel of Panamanian and Venezuelan boxing from '74 to the present.
The IBF is an outgrowth of US boxing and has always been its fiefdom, although to lend an international flavor to it, Mexican and Philippine boxing were allowed to play minor roles in the organization, if they are made to play at all.Last edited by grayfist; 05-02-2006, 08:35 PM.

Originally posted by AlibataBefore your ***** ass starts laughing check how many Mexican champs vs. Pinoy champs there were during the time of Pancho Villa till present. You will find that we were there when y'all were tomato cans. It is just recently in the era of Suliman that Mexicans erupted full force in the scene and Filipinos died out and lost interest in the game. The interest has been rekindled, our time has come.
Your trying to say Filipino's once produced better fighters then Mexican, thats hilarious. Its funny how just cause Pacquiao beat 2 Mexican fighters you guys think you will dominate in boxing, im sorry to say but it will NEVER happend, mark my words. Just the way it is and always will be.
