  • Comments Thread For: Anthony Joshua Eyes November Defense, With Joseph Parker

Anthony Joshua expects to make the next defence of his IBF heavyweight title in November and his promoter wants it to be New Zealand's Joseph Parker. Saturday's seventh-round stoppage of America's Dominic Breazeale in London represented both the finest performance of Joshua's career and the first defence of his title.

Joshua will win this no doubt but Parker will make it interesting while it lasts

If this happens, its so they can avoid Haye. Predictable from the AJ camp.

Haye who? The guy who fought on Dave and beat 2 guys outside of the Top 50? Are you being funny?

Haye cant expect getting a title-shot for beating bums like De Mori and Gjergjay.
He has to do more first. Joshua vs. Parker would be verry good at this point.

If we weren't forced to watch bums receive title shots, then I would agree with you. However, the argument against Haye goes out the window, as the current fighters being handed title shots are inferior to Haye, and inferior by some distance.

HW boxing needs our current champions to be tested, we need to see Joshua face an opponent that can box, you understand? an actual boxer that can move his head, throw combinations, read punches and defend himself.

Now, that doesn't have to be David Haye, yet when you look at all the current matches that can be made, Joshua v Haye would be the most exciting and the most challenging for Joshua.

I'm pleased the IBF moved Haye up to number 3 as it helps Haye stay focused on climbing the rankings, so its just a matter of time before Haye becomes HW champion of the world, in style, and he will face whoever steps up to challenge him.

Nonsense. If if happens it is because a Wilder unification can't be made before Parker is mandated, like it or not Haye just is not on Joshua's radar, he's neither a title holder nor a mandatory. I'd much rather see Klitscho, Wilder, Ortiz or the PED test failing Fury.

It means Haye would have to beat Pulev in a final eliminator, which ain't gonna happen. Not only would Haye not beat Pulev, he simply would not get in the ring with him.

I have no doubt Haye would beat Pulev. What makes you think Haye would not beat Pulev?
