i don't think you understand at all how purses in boxing work. golovkin doesnt "pay jacobs" anything. danny wants more than the 1.5 million he got against quillin, which has effectively priced himself off of HBO or showtime, and into ppv.

networks buy fights on premium TV. they won't pay more than 3ish million for a single fight. it eats up too much of the budget for the year. remember bradley - alexander? that awful fight that ended in a head clash and ruined HBO's budget for a year and got people fired? no? kind of my point.

Sounds like GGG needs a new network or promotion team to get him and his opponents the $$$ they deserve.

If HBO/Loeffler can't get him the opponents he needs because he's a high risk-low reward fighter, he needs to move on.

However, if he's the star everyone on here claims he is, he should have no problem pulling Canelo/Pacquiao money. Since he isn't, he needs to find a team that will allow him to bring the $$$ to start getting these guys in the ring. If he can't do that, then he needs to start making the neccessary sacrifices the ATG's before him had to make to get fighters in the ring being they were high risk/low reward.

Point is, something has to give. If Team GGG can't produce the $$$ then they needs to make sacrifices.

I respect it but he better respect the ppl don't give a damn about that. It's not unfair as a fan to want to see these fights. It's what should be happening to begin with.

Golovkin is not a PPV star, he needs to trash talk but it seems that it's just not the way he wants to conduct himself in life. That's what I get from his interviews.

I don't think anyone here says he's a PPV star. He can get Jacobs 1 million, 1.5 millions tops. Jacobs isn't worth more than that. Jacobs can't sell or generate TV ratings, then go away.

What we GGG fans say is that he's a great fighter (GGG is the best of my generation <- said by Jacobs himself). And he generates more ratings and sells more tickets than Jacobs for sure. Jacobs should be willing to fight him to show who's the best. After all Jacobs is the interim chump.
