This. It should have been clear to everyone that Thurman struggles on the inside and Porter would present problems.
I disagree about the Mayweather thing as he adapted after a few rounds and virtually shut him out in the rematch but I see what you're saying though, as Maidana's awkwardness did cause him hell at first.

Anybody that believes this better stay away from Maidana.

Marcos is a tough fight for anybody.

He still uses right hook...a rare punch in today's game.

Argentine fighters throw punches from angles that shouldn't exist...dangerous fighters.

both guys showed they were highly skilled lol stop it. it was a great technical boxing matches that had moments where two natural warriors went to war. just enjoy it. everything doesnt need to be some kind of flawless 120-108 clinic lmao you guys kill me. this was the best fight of the year so far.

I agree, the OP is an idiot. I'm not saying Thurman and Porter are A level talent but both guys are highly skilled and put on a great show, yet this schmuck wants to come in and say Thurman isn't skilled according to his standards lol

The fact that there was even a rematch at all is my point. He obviously struggled with him enough to warrant a rematch. I'm sure Thurman would do some things differently in a rematch too. He let Porter push him against the ropes and was willing to trade in close, whereas a rematch I'm sure he'd probably want to use more movement, turn Porter, clinch when necessary, etc. essentially box smart.

I'm not saying he's a bum or isn't tough. I'm saying his skill level was never really on that elite Mayweather, Pacquiao type level. And there were fights where he didn't look very good like against Alexander for example. Yet his style and the type of fighter he was gave Floyd problems. It's about styles, that's my only point here.
