Thats not how boxing works. Breazeale will be re-built or used as fodder for Wilder. Ditto Whyte.

Cornish (joiner and part time boxer)

Whyte (has heart and chin but is a ****e boxer and unranked)

Martin (never heard of him before he got the belt so had to look at videos of him fighting in a gym hall in 240p)

Breazeale (lucky in his last 2 fights and was nothing more than a slow sandbag with no skill)

Joshua has not fought one good fighter yet
All very true though. They have done a hell of a job marketing him as a PPV fighter when you consider the truth about his level of opposition. I mean, i can't knock him if people are paying for it. It's just ridiculous really.

Hearn and AJ must have been licking their lips when someone as bad as Martin got hold of a title, knowing they could just throw about £3m at him to come and fight and lose his belt because he wouldn't get a fraction of that anywhere else.

I agree...too early, he should've counted him out instead of a stoppage to give the man a chance...

The reason Joshua didn't get this guy out of there earlier is because he was crazy predictable with the shots he threw. Easier to take shots you know are coming. Someone needs to teach Joshua to hit the body more. Finish up his combo down low. Breazeale would have been stopped 2-3 rounds earlier if Joshua did that.

No surprise about the fight other than Breazeale lasting so long. He has never shown anything but size and power.

Joshua did what he had to do. I suppose we should get back to the decades old Klintch fest.
Him taking 7 rounds is possibly an issue because of the reason he needed 7 rounds, which was his offensive predictability. His trainer needs to teach him some variety.

Unless he was fighting that way to get rounds in. I suppose that's possible.

I wonder what bomb is next up for Joshua.

I saw the comment, "great win". How? Lol...we knew the outcome.

Sounds good. But, part of what made Floyd Mayweather such a great fighter was that he didn't over think, and/or out think himself. If you couldn't get outta the way of his lead right hand, he threw it until you figured it out. If you couldn't get outta the way of a looping right hand, he kept throwing it. Its awesome to have a varied attack. But if you're having success with what you're doing, keep doing it till the other guy shows he can stop it. And if the KO comes, it comes. If it doesn't, there's nothing wrong with an easy points win. And when you're 6'6, 255lbs. More times than not. If you beat on a guy long enough, the KO is gonna come.
