It is CLEARLY obvious that Golovkin is subject to the exact same risk/reward decisions as everybody else.

Golovkin ran around for FOUR YEARS saying that he can beat "anyone from 154-168"..... then, he killed TWO huge fights over the weight.

That is called, failing badly to live up to YOUR OWN hype.

    the lie:
Golovkin Would Fight Ward at 168 and Canelo at 154.....

    the truth:
    164 or No Fight.....
Mandalay Bay, Las Vegas - Abel Sanchez, trainer of WBA/IBO middleweight champion Gennady 'GGG' Golovkin, has made it absolutely clear that he's not going to budge from his position that a potential fight with Andre Ward will only happen if Ward - the recognized champion at super middleweight - is wiling to meet them halfway at a catch-weight of 164-pounds. Golovkin and his team received more than their fair share of heat in recent days, after placing a catch-weight demand on a potential fight with Ward. The reason for the heat, is because Golovkin was willing to fight both Carl Froch and Julio Cesar Chavez Jr. at the full super middleweight limit.

    160 or no fight.....
    http://espn.go.com/boxing/story/_/id...-not-ounce-160

If you are willing to fight Froch, Chavez, Degale, Jack, Hopkins, Chudinov, and Ramirez, AT 168..... but you are not willing to face Andre Ward at 168, then you ducked him..... plain and simple.

Again, not saying that Golovkin aint a terrific fighter, he is clearly the best middleweight on the planet..... all I am saying is, that Golovkin is OBVIOUSLY subject to the exact same risk/reward decisions as everybody else..... that is all.

You guys who would prefer to cut off one of your fingers rather than admit that simple fact..... are precious.

I highly doubt that a long-term boxing fan would see things like that..... long-term fans have a mature outlook on boxing because they have seen fighters come-and-go, they don't get invested like the young guys do.
See... I am not "you guys'. I am not part of any movement. I have truly been watching boxing for 60 years and I do not care about your nonsense try to peg me as something or other. I wish Golovkin would fight Ward, I have no concern about him losing. I know he could, that's the way of every fight, but I suspect he would win. You got your agenda, fine, have at it. You have not ever said a word that made me change my opinion about anybody. I watch fights and judge fighters by what I see. That is all. Pound for pound carries no weight compared to any actual fight. Ducking guys in other divisions is nonsense, a big part of your game. Hoping you get back to actually posting about something other than ducking and business.

GGG is 34. It would be his biggest payday and livest dog to date.
How do you conclude that we are against the fight? hint: we are not. We want the fight.

But saying this would be GGG stepping up isn't very accurate. If there's anyone stepping in this fight up it's Jr.

does it mean we're against the fight? saying that means we are against it? come on, use your brain.

Apologies for that, it looks like I had you pegged wrong..... there is an extremely ****** fanbase that frequents this site, and you were saying the exact same dumb fanboy **** they do.

I wasn't the only one who noticed either, but apologies for the confusion.

            Swatty,

If you have been following boxing for 60 years, you must be at least 70yo?

No 70yo would write dumb stuff like this.....

So Ward would rather face Kovalev than GGG, so he got that going on. Andre Ward wouldn't duck Junior, that's for sure.
You go on with your nonsense now, we're all entertained by it.

            Are you telling fibs ?

              knowledgeable fans:
can see whats up..... they know that Golovkin is a terrific fighter, but they can see that he is subject to the exact same risk/reward decisions as anyone else..... and they know that is why he avoided Ward, who apart from being a stylistic nightmare, is too big for lil'G..... Golovkin may have had a chance against bigger guys like Froch, because Froch would be 'available' throughout the fight, but not against a bigger slicker much more-skilled guy like Andre Ward

              biased golovkin fans:
think that Gennady did not duck Ward. The reason why that fight didn't happen is because Ward is boring, or not a draw..... and they think that Gennady would beat Ward easy

the dopey pacstains who converted to Golovkinism:
think that Ward ducked Golovkin LMAO

Eubank is a bum anyway. Just GGG's type of opponent. The excuses and passes for refusing to live up to your "I'll go to 154 or 168 to get big fights" promises he made only to turn around get his bluff called and fight a prospect euro bum like Eubank? After he just fought a bum on house arrest named Wade? And a bum named Monroe last year. His fans will never demand he step and and sacrifice to make better fights.

I like Eubank Jr's willingness to publicly pursue this fight. However, let's be real. CEJ doesn't have the chin or punching power to stand a chance.

I give him 4-5 rounds tops.

Normally GGG's opponents get worn down and TKO'd. I think GGG will give CEJ the Ishida treatment.

That said, Danny Jacobs would do the same.

That GGG takes him out in 4-5 rounds top?

BTW, what's your feelings on Jacobs rejecting the K2 offer b/c it was only Peter Quillin level money?

I'm actually happy they're finally negotiating, maybe December? But it probably won't be in NY b/c of the new insurance rule.
