Only ****** boxing fans care about loses. There has to be a loser in any fight. Does it really make sense if it is translated to be the end of his career? That's why I'll never understand Haymon's overprotective practices. You lose and you can come back any time.
What if Thurman loses???

What if? ******s like this guy will have a field day:
He's supposed to win, and I imagine Haymon has been doing everything he can behind closed doors to make that happen (getting Keith extra time, monitoring his progress, prob having spies in Porter camp). Not sure what will happen if it doesn't actually go their way. I expect Thurman to move all night and for it to be an ugly points decision one way or the other.Comment

Regroup, work harder, work his way back and get revenge. Boxing So Called "FANS" can really learn a thing or two from UFC fans, when guys lose UFC fans talk about it and they move on to his next fight. McGregor vs Diaz II will be even BIGGER than the first fight despite McGregor losing. In boxing a guys suffers a defeat and nobody wants to see him anymore?
I still want to see Matthysee, still high on Amir Imam, still high on Tony Harrison, I still like Hugo Centeno Jr boxing skills despite last week, still a fan of Loma despite losing to Salido, still a fan of Gary Russell Jr despite losing to Loma...THIS IS BOXING! Time to stop with the trying to remain undefeated Mayweather mentality, another thing that killed the sport of boxing is the lack of rivals in the sport, because guys don't want to fight and don't want to lose we don't have any new Rivalries. People take their win and RUN back to fighting weak average opponents.
I HOPE that Thurman vs Porter become a Rivalry and they end up fighting multiple times I think the sport needs that.Comment

I personally think he'll have a hard time. He has a very big ego even though he tries to say he doesn't. Remember, "There are great boxers and then there are next level boxers. I'm a next level boxer, I was bread for this."
If he gets beat down, I could see him taking an extended hiatus or potentially retiring.Comment

It would depend on how he lost. A tough, close loss can be rebounded from quickly with a rematch.Comment

IF tonight's matchup is GREAT, and the cards delivery as well, no matter what the result is, I'm sure they would do the rematch on primetime.Comment

Lotsa places. Lotsa places win or lose. PBC/Haymon/friends of Haymon has 147 more or less locked down.
If he wins I think he should aim at Brook, Bradley (if this Arum & Haymon thing is real) or Garcia.
If he loses maybe Broner, Lamont Peterson or Khan makes sense.
If the fight is close either way &/or a fun fight than a rematch could be in order.Comment
