This is what separates Arum from the pack, whether you take it as positive or not. He doesn't give a hoot about trainers and managers' opinions. He'll make the fight he wants no matter how objectionable it is for the trainer. He'll even advice the fighter to change his trainer. In GGG's case, his trainer is acting like he's Golovkin's father. Loeffler can't do anything about it.

If i'm not mistaken freddie roach wanted Cotto at 143 to make the Pac bout. However when it was negotiated it ended up being 145. Something similar i think happened here. Remember when GGG asked for Ward in 2013, Ward ducked. Then when GGG was more of a name im sure he wanted better terms. If both sides had sat down and negotiated it would have ended up taking place at 166 is my guess.

Dear GGG fans - Be realistic and don't hide your head in the sand. GGG and his team are no better than Canelo and his team. Both GGG and Canelo are just looking for less-risk money fights.

When Canelo avoids GGG, his fanboys cry like 'Canelo is not a warrior! He just a businessman!' However, when GGG team make excuses(money, catchweight...) against Ward, GGG fanboys act like a reasonable, rational businessman...lol

Exactly!!!...Except Ward was A side in the lil' g fight as well...like ODLH said...it's hard negotiating with a guy who thinks he's a star and only does 97K pay-per-views...

Right. But it's important to keep it in context.

What he is saying in this article is that a official negotiation never took place, with pen and paper, except for after he already finalized the Limunex fight.

These are just words. The last I checked, he doesn't negotiate for GGG the same way Roach doesn't negotiate for Pacquiao, despite being his mouth piece.
