Funny how you don't mention what Can'tNelo said immediately after that khan circusthe offer:
" let him come down to 155 and I'll fight him whatever day he wants "
Abel Sanchez, trainer for IBO/WBA/IBF middleweight champion Gennady "GGG" Golovkin (34-0, 31KOs), is not concerned with the recent comments that were made by Mexican superstar Saul "Canelo" Alvarez (45-1-1, 32KOs). Golovkin, who also holds the WBC's interim-middleweight title, is the mandatory challenger to full champion Miguel Cotto. On November 21 at the Mandalay Bay in Las Vegas, Canelo will challenge Cotto for his WBC title - with the contest taking place at a catch-weight of 155-pounds.
the refusal:
" What? He knows it's 160 "
Negotiations are underway for a fall showdown between middleweight champions Gennady 'GGG' Golovkin (35-0, 32KOs) and Saul 'Canelo' Alvarez (35-0, 32KOs). The World Boxing Council ordered the boxers to face each other in the fall and discussions between the two sides began a few days ago. They have a very short window to reach a deal, because WBC has set a purse bid date of May 24th in Mexico City.
Or, to put it another way.....
the lie:
Golovkin Would Fight Ward at 168 and Canelo at 154.....
the truth:
164 or No Fight.....
Mandalay Bay, Las Vegas - Abel Sanchez, trainer of WBA/IBO middleweight champion Gennady 'GGG' Golovkin, has made it absolutely clear that he's not going to budge from his position that a potential fight with Andre Ward will only happen if Ward - the recognized champion at super middleweight - is wiling to meet them halfway at a catch-weight of 164-pounds. Golovkin and his team received more than their fair share of heat in recent days, after placing a catch-weight demand on a potential fight with Ward. The reason for the heat, is because Golovkin was willing to fight both Carl Froch and Julio Cesar Chavez Jr. at the full super middleweight limit.
160 or no fight.....

Dude just stfu really you are a fawking ignorant haterComment

These guys are idiots and have no clue how to run a fighter.
If you want to make the argument this is his real weight, then fine whatever. No one is going to believe that but if you wanna make that claim, sure. But don't ****ing say you are delaying the fight because you want to get used to 160.Comment

Makes more sense I suppose instead off doing the whole catch weight thing which was becoming predictable, it won't sit well however if he does not face off against golovkin as many are calling for it..Some were surprised and some weren't, when on Friday it was officially announced that Saul 'Canelo' Alvarez (47-1-1, 33KOs) would return to 154-pounds to challenge undefeated Liam Smith (23-0-1, 13KOs) for the WBO world championship.

Beating smith hmmmm I dunno how people will react to that fight even though the guy is undefeated and there is a Belt on the line I don't think most want to see that fight? just going out on a limb here..Comment
