Don't care about the ggg fight because I never thought it was going to happen but Liam Smith? I know he have a belt but I wouldn't even rate him a top ten jmw. Even with a weight advantage and we put him in ww he wouldn't even crack my top ten there.

I don't get how he sells this to the fans.

Wow, so that outstanding young champion Canelo is fighting for yet another world title?

I am sure that will impress all of the " mando doe " fans, who heavily rely upon ABC rankings to evaluate their guys opposition.

Is a champion ranked higher than a #1 contender ?

Pretty sure they are from memory

And he can also have Charlo the WBC champ whenever he wants him.

Wow, what an outstanding young man, he really does have the world at his feet.

No one would have blamed him, he was being honest.. The worst thing he did was stay at middleweight and fight khan, after making a verbal agreement to fight ggg in the fall, only to back out after declaring "mexicans don't **** around". It's the biggest fight in boxing and canelo walked away and looked horrible in the process..
Good post. I dont think anyone would have complained if he went straight back down after the Cotto fight but he tried to fool the fans with his antics and has come out of it looking very bad imo. It will be very interesting to see if he can actually make 154 or not.

Smith should have some re-hydration clause in the contract

He's the same weight as ggg 30 days out and after rehydration.
