I've defended Canelo because I see him as a jr middleweight, with no obligation to move up, as long as big fighta are being made where he's comfortable. But if he fights Smith, 2016 will be a lost year for Canelo. A year that consisted of stay busy fights against Khn and Smith. Not acceptable. If Canelo is going to middleweight, he needs to fight GGG. If he's staying at jr middleweight, he needs to fight guys higher up the food chain.

    I agree.....

I can see that they are attempting to exploit the Khan/UK exposure, but recently he has been fighting a tough one and then a money fight..... Andrade or one of the Charlo's would have been better, even J-Rock.
    .
The Smith fight will most likely happen at 155, but if it happens at 154 for Smiths title, a large pile of silly casual fans are going to look pretty ****** LMAO

Oh, and they will hear all about it.

There is certainly going to be a problem after November 21st. It appears, based on the recent comments by Saul "Canelo" Alvarez, that he doesn't plan to compete

So, considering the fact that lil'G said that he "Would Fight Ward at 168 and Canelo at 154".....
http://thaboxingvoice.com/golovkin-a...4/15398?var=no..... why didn't lil'G contact his management team IMMEDIATELY and instruct them to make that fight?

      foolio

If Team Bull**** thought they could beat Canelo at 155, they would simply fight him.
Whatever bullshit Canelo came out with in the ring after fights, eg "160 lbs is no problem. I'll fight him tomorrow"... the fact is that GBP never offered to fight Golovkin this year at any weight during real negotiations.

        why deflect ?

..... how does that comment from Canelo justify or excuse the FOUR YEARS of bull**** from Golovkin?

..... and it's not like it's an isolated incident or anything, because Golovkin did the exact same thing with Ward.

"Golovkin Would Fight Ward at 168 and Canelo at 154".....

Golovkin said that he would fight Ward at 168 and Canelo at 154, but then he killed BOTH fights over the weight.

And btw, your " middleweight " just signed to fight for Beefy Smith's JMW title.

I say again..... JMW title..... as-in, at 154.

        154.... you know, Junior Middleweight

I guess that few months of "Canelo is a middleweight" dumbness sure backfired, huh?
