lol **** this. Golovkin should just move up in weight and forget all about Canelo. It's clear they never want the fight to take place until GGG grows old and his skills hopefully (in their mind) start deteriorating.

That makes it worse. Instead of making the Canelo fight and then moving up to 168 for better fights, we get this.

Then they should just get out of it already. Boxing is the flagship of HBO Sports along with Real Sports. I get that as TV subscriptions drop and more people get HBO digital through phones/tablets that boxing will not be as big.

Even in this climate this decision is ridiculous. We already are putting up with 2 garbage fights from Kov and Ward prior to their fight do we really need to do the same here?

HBO (and PBC as well) are hurting the sport right now by with the product they are putting on TV. I got cliff's point about building to something (in his PBC article) but this isn't building to something, its just giving us garbage and making us wait.

We can't use a VERBAL agreement for anything. Get it signed or shut up, Oscar, you phaggot. And why wait until 2017? It should be the NEXT fight for Canelo and if he doesn't fight Golovkin, then he MUST fight Jacobs or Saunders. Otherwise, Canelo has taken the meaning of b1tch to a whole new level. He's just a semi-talented coward fighting small opponents while hiding from the big boys.

I think if HBO demanded Canelo and GGG fight the fight would get made. HBO has the right to refuse any opponent for either.

I get that doing this makes more money for them and the fighters.

Are you going to hold HBO, Canelo or GGG (to a much much lesser degree) accountable?

Being honest, I'm disgusted by both teams now. Team Canelo for, well, being scared of the next loss, and Team GGG for accepting these ridiculous terms. Neither of these guys are May/Pac, so we don't need any godamn marinating! Boxing is such a low-quality managed sport.

If Canelo wanted the fight then the fight would happen..I don't have to hold anyone else accountable for it not happening...

GGG wants the fight and HBO will gladly air it...

HBO is not gonna tell Canelo who he can and can't fight, he's the biggest star left in boxing at this point...they will air it...

GGG has nothing to do with Canelo not wanting the fight .He needs to get Jacobs and Saunders to fight him, which neither want to do at this point either... Instead he will get Eubanks and Heiland and people will say it's his fault that the other 2 top MW want no part of him.

no argument here. I'm beyond disgusted with boxing at this point. Sincerely doubt I'll follow it much longer.
