Schaefer was banned from boxing until August of last year. So Schaefer was supposed to break his ban and sign with Floyd? Floyd tried to hire him. Schaefer had other plans.

Of course Floyd wanted to but schaefer didn't or he would of. Many said Haymon would hire schaefer and give him a job in PBC last year. That didn't happen either. It just proves these guys are not on the same page and all have different agendas now. My point is given Schaefer dirtbag past Floyd is likely better off without having to always look over your back with this shady guy having his fingers on your company.

But is he signing? And if he's on this card then I doubt he is signing with Mayweather Promotions because they are not promoting this card. Wasn't this supposed to be Lou Dibella promoting this card? Is Mikey signing just with Haymon or just this undercard but not inking long term. Will be interesting to see how this plays out. But the way Floyd has bragged about this will be funny if he signs ONLY with Haymon leaving Floyd out the loop.

It's been noticeable that Haymon hasn't been using Mayweather Promotions in his PBC cards. Spence, for example, who everyone thought is a TMT fighter, is being promoted by Dibella. It's also noticeable that most of Haymon fighters are not signed to any specific promoter. Guys like Thurman, Leo Santa Cruz, Broner, Porter, Garcia, Guerrero, Berto, etc. So it would seem that Mikey doesn't really have to sign with a promoter. All he needs is Haymon.

Signing ONLY with Haymon is what everyone thought would happen and what was rumored 2 years ago when that was the center of his beef with Top Rank. So everyone just assumed the moment his contract was resolved he would ink just with Haymon. It's only when Mayweather started jumping up and down doing interviews saying he's signing Mikey that this came up. But again speaks to how none of these guys seem to be on the same page. Mikey needs Haymon for the connections not sure why he needs Mayweather other then Mayweather just saying he's signing him.

This is why I only listen to Jake when it comes to PBC. He's the only one without his head up his ass. While others repeat rumors from people who said PBC wouldn't be here this summer and that PBC had Leon Margules (who promoted the fight this past weekend).
