Beter has been clocked by way less opposition than Kov or ******man. Of the two, he needs to wake up and choose ******man. Cuz Kov can box extremely well, along with his murderous punching power.

lol hype? I live in montreal and I go to every public practice of Beterbiev and other boxers. Beterbiev is probably the best contender Pound for pound in the world as we talk. When he do sparring he has to hire 4 sparring partner because they can only 2-3 rounds. that goes for the elite of the division like Isaac Chilemba and Jean pascal. After the fight with Maderna Beterbiev have shown improvement with the left hand A fast sharp jab shown he can box outside while he was supposed to be a inside boxer. The key to win for Maderna was tu successfully keep beterbiev outside. Which is why maderna clan called Beterbiev a monster. If you ask me he is even more complete than Kovalev he can box outside with his jab and inside. where Kovlev inside have shown weakness. Will Beterbiev beat kovalev? If you ask me they both have amazing skills and power to end it quickly. They could fights 100 times and could end with 50-50 or 60-40 wins to either sides. The only 2 notable fighter Kovalev faced is Hopkins and Pascal for pascal Beterbiev end him the same way even Pascal admitted that Beterbiev was a monster (they will most likely never fight). For Hopkins, the only reason i give hopkins for doing 12 rounds with Kovalev is not his amazing chin, Kovalev has the power to ko him, but because he doesnt have enough physical strenght to box inside so he couldn't be more agressive on hopkins he would only tire himself out. Hopkins would clinch too much. but for Beterbiev on the other hand, his physical strenght is on another level. He would be way more agressive on Hopkins than Kovalev and I just cant see the like of Ward and hopkins being able to clinch for 12 rounds. Hopkins would be stopped by Beterbiev and for ward, he would need to find another than clinching when he get in trouble lie he usualy do, it would be the worst mistae of you ask me and would end like this:

Also unless stevenson get a lucky punch he would get destroyed by Beterbiev.

He should fight the top ranked fighters of each organization to become the mandatory.

Beterbiev ,might be the most overrated boxer today way over-hyped yet has actually done little in few fights of note. Kovalev destroys better Be.

Since I first watched Beterbiev (in the Cloud fight) I immediately imagined him with Ward in the same ring...

Usually in boxing, as in life, if it sounds too good to be true it usually is.

That was my feeling when Main Events promoter Kathy Duva said she hoped to match unified light heavyweight titlist Sergey Kovalev with Russian countryman, two-time Olympian and Kovalev conqueror (in the amateur ranks) Artur Beterbiev.

It would shape up as a terrific fight between two aggressive punchers who don't particularly like each other.

So it came as no shock whatsoever to me that Michel responded to Duva's offer in an email on Wednesday declining the fight, even though he said her offer was fair. She was offering Beterbiev a career-high purse for his first main event ($500,000), 25 percent of Canadian pay-per-view and closed circuit revenue (Beterbiev is based in Montreal) and asking only for the right for Kovalev to have an immediate rematch (with a 50-50 financial split), as opposed to the usual three options for a non-mandatory fight most promoters usually seek.

That is clearly a good faith offer.

Michel was polite, said he appreciated Duva's "honest offer" and said he hoped Beterbiev could meet Kovalev in the future. But they were going to pass on her offer for Nov. 28. Michel explained they decided instead that Beterbiev would fight in an IBF-sanctioned eliminator to get the title shot (even though he was offered one in which he could win the IBF belt plus two others)...

                      http://espn.go.com/blog/dan-rafael/p...ev-no-surprise

Accepting this would have been the worse decision ever... Staged act at its best...

First it would have taken place in crooked Russia and set by crooked (and still unknown to mankind) Duva's Russian investors for the benefit of Kovalev...

Secondly, all Kovalev wanted was an early revenge for his 2 losses and a still green Beterbiev was perfect for him at the time...

The way GYM decided they would go for mando instead was the wisest decision... The fight would be on schedule if not for his shoulder injury, and he would be granted much more than those 500K's ...

Anyway, those two guys are bound to meet sooner or later... Can't wait...
