Why Floyd Never Got Caught Like That?

You just saw Fonfara's head fly across the ring against a no name Joe Smith. You saw it happen to Hatton, Paul Williams, Pacquiao, Morales, Khan, even Roy Jones, why do you think Floyd never got sparked out in the ring like that?

He's a safety first fighter. It's hard to crack a guy when he wont open up.

But he does open up, he outlands all his opponents. I think many thought Pac or Canelo would spark him like that, they never came close

Fonfara made the mistake if thinking his opponent was more hurt than he was...he walked right to him and got blindsided. He didn't measure his opponent and test to see how hurt he was. Floyd is smarter than that, and against high level opposition, he was rarely looking for finishes.

Even worse for Fonfara he didn't protect himself after the knockdown, no clinch, hold, run, just backed into the rope and took some more thunderous shots. Doesn't seem he knows what to do when he gets hurt.

So what's Joe Smith? Floyd never fought nobody on Joe Smith level?

One punch at a time is not opening up. He never gets into exchanges since he moved to 147. He attempted to throw combos versus berto and looked awkward as hell.

That's true...to top it off he stood straight up and got pasted with that hook. I still feel like the ref should have given him a count.
