Canelo or Saunders, which win would do more for GGG's legacy right now?

But in both fights GGG will still be highly favorited to win so for that reason I don't think GGG will get a true legacy fight until he moves up.
WAS???? he STILL IS LINEAL CHAMP AT MIDDLEWEIGHT

You still take the Ring title serious? They're no better than a sanctioning body. How can you strip someone of a fictional title? Their rules and decisions are arbitrary. They should make a rule that the title is only on they line when the fighters are fighting at the full weight limit. So if Canelo drops back down to 154 nobody has the opportunity to win the title? If they strip him of the title it's vacant again? The ring title is political.

I'm surprised at the amount of people picking Canelo over history. Especially considering the fact that most people favor him to win over Canelo. I think becoming undisputed champion gets him a step closer to the Hall of Fame than a win over Canelo.

true dat, the current lineal champ who vacated the WBC to avoid the #1 challenger. As I said, lineal doesn't really hold the same meaning it once did.

IBO. How many of those belts did he win, and how many were given to him? If he beats Saunders he'll hold all 4 belts, half of which he was elevated to champ. Not his fault as people don't want to fight him, but it is what it is. Doesn't change the fact that the guy is a beast

Beating Saunders would make him the fourth person to hold all 4 titles in a division at once.

              Who are they?
              Hopkins, Taylor and a chick

Canelo is a nice name who's value would be determined overtime instead of at the moment. He's just popular at the moment

No he didn't. Rid**** Bowe didn't get his lineal title fighting at a catchweight. He also didn't drop down a weight class when he dropped the WBC title. Two totally different situations.

This is my line of thinking also. Canelo may lose 3, 4, or 5 more times in his career. GGG is the fourth man to hold the WBA-WBC-IBF and would become only the third man to hold the WBA-WBC-IBF-WBO. I think that's a bigger boost to his legacy than beating a good fighter he's expected to beat.
