    Saunders would unify the division.

Canelo would give him his best win to date.

    Neither are legacy building fighters.

I watched a GGG fight with a guy that boxed.

He was shocked that GGG was a Champion.

    Dude was like:

    "whaaaaaaat....wait a minute....THAT is a Champion?.....that guy's washed up"

Then I told him Golovkin is 34 rears old and had over 350 amateur fights:

    "...damn..that'll wash-up anybody"

Neither are really big legacy fights. Canelo is a money fight against a good fighter, BJS is a fight to win over a belt holder

It's a fight to unify with all the belts, not just a regular title fight. IBF/WBC/WBA/IBO/WBO. Every single belt in the division. Undisputed.

Probably Canelo since he's more likely to go down in the HOF and to date has fought better competition and was at one point the lineal MW champion (if that still means anything anymore).

But in both fights GGG will still be highly favorited to win so for that reason I don't think GGG will get a true legacy fight until he moves up.

True. But that's why I learn more towards BJS because it's for all the belts and he becomes undisputed.

At this point, Gennady needs a win over an elite guy in his own weight class or higher.

Neither Canelo nor Saunders will give him that.

Canelo may be elite but has never fought a true middleweight.

Saunders, tho very good, is not elite.

I think Canelo can pull it off. I have more faith in Canelo than De La Hoya. I didn't expect Canelo to beat Trout after Trout's impressive win over Cotto. And Canelo was only 22 at the time. And Trout looked like a world beater leading up to that fight.

Canelo would be the best fighter he has faced hands down

But Canelo still has the Ring title and is Lineal champ
