All fighters in the lower divisions struggle to make weight. It is great for them because when it works, they are the bigger guy. When it does not work, it becomes a built in excuse for a loss.

Martinez has been struggling to make weight his whole career then, because I have never seen him look good.

I expect him to get a shot at a vacant lightweight title (probably WBO)against a bum and win by gift decision.

Hopefully no one is actually dumb enough to think the outcome would have been any different at another weight. If so, in the small chance Martinez would have a rematch clause or want another fight at a higher weight, I have a couple grand to put on Lom.
