I don't think it is a "GIVEN" that Canelo loses, Canelo can box, he does have Power of his own and Canelo have some slickness to him defensively, he can make his opponents miss and counter.
I think taking on 1 or 2 True Middleweights and actually fighting at 160 before stepping in with GGG wouldn't be a bad thing but staying at 155 and calling for Welterweights to come up and fight you is a JOKE. Commit to a damn Division!

If GGG is going to win he is going to try and stalk and knock Canelo out and not jab or run all night long like Lara and he damn sure don't have the skill and defense to do what Floyd did.Last edited by bigdunny1; 06-17-2016, 01:09 PM.

Other then Mayweather nobody has outboxed Canelo. Cotto and Khan tried and failed. Trout tried got dropped then gave up. Lara tried then started getting countered with big shots and gave up and just ran the rest of the fight. Go watch how Lara shifted to gear 5 in running after Canelo busted up his eye in the 4th. When you land only 100 punches total a entire fight you didn't give somebody hell. Lara landed exactly 55 jabs the entire fight at a connect rate of 22%. That's literally an avg of 4 jabs a round.

Yes he will probably neutralise the jab. With his face. You mentioned Cotto and Khan, how he countered etc but he did get hit quite a bit. Hell Alvarez has never faced any body that could hurt him with a Jab. Golovkin can. You totally ignoring the fact that Golovkin is just as dangerous on the inside as he is at a distance. In fact I would guess that 35-40% of his KOs have been because of work done to the body. I pose you guys the question what would Canelo's game plan be when he fights someone who can actually hurt him?

Why are people still posting threads about this matchup??
It's never going to happen. Isn't this clear by now?
