I'm sure some people would make some excuses. I'm not one of them. However you don't hear people on this forum talking about Kovalev won't fight Ward. You do have a large number of posters that continue to say that Ward won't fight Kovalev and Ward is scared of Kovalev and Ward will fake an injury to avoid Kovalev, etc... You get where I coming from I'm sure. The fight has been signed and there are still a large number of posters that continue to spew this garbage. It almost makes me wonder if those posters want this fight to happen. It's like if they say it won't happen enough times then the fight won't happen.
Forget Canelo vs. GGG. To me this is the best fight there is in boxing right now. A USA Olympic Gold Medalist, fundamental sound and technically proficient boxer vs a Killer Puncher. A proven killer puncher at that.

No one should make any excuses for the loser of this fight.

Well, looks like this is going to take place without Ward getting another fight in. I'm a huge Ward fan, but this is no doubt the biggest/ toughest fight of his career. I would feel better about his chances had he got in one more fight at 75.

This is no doubt a 50/50 fight. It's going to be about who can oppose their will. Can ward make this an ugly inside fight, and not allow Kov enough distance to wind up and land a big shot? Can Kov cut off the ring and corner Ward and tee off at a comfortable distance that will allow him to land cleanly.

Very intriguing matchup between an elite boxer and a an incredibly big puncher.

Not sure how the betting on this site works, but I'd be willing to bet all of my points (i know it's not many), on Ward.
