    Seems ideal to me.

he's just too big, man. mikey was only around 140 lbs when he fought last. you really want a kid who hasn't fought in the last 2.5 years to fight a guy who is going to have 15 lbs on him in the ring?

    glad you're not my manager

mikey is going to fight a smaller guy with a name, and beat the crap out of him. that will get the ball rolling, and show us what he's got left.

i saw mikey spar a couple months ago, and he looed like he needs at least half a year to get back into form. looked way, way off.

i'd pick molina to beat him if they fought in september. 3-4 inches of reach. 3-4 inches of height. 15 lbs. active. coming off of a big win. good chin and good power. and if you remember, mikey has been down a few times in the past, and hasn't always looked mentally strong. almost quit against matt remillard, a nobody, from stomach cramps. i'll see if i can find the interview wher ehis brother talks about it.

Garbage fight Molina is levels down from Mickey.
Lil Rocky is a C+ talent just like Molina, Molina fought a guy who has lost his desire and ability to train hard you could see it right from the start.
Lil Rock could have out hustled Molina easily and Molina can't punch worth spit he is a forearm puncher who has no style or form.
Mickey could be off 5 years and beat him! No offense to Molina but he is NOT on the same level.
Lil Rock looks done and he needs to take a break and get away from the gym.

molina was 160 lbs according to SHO. 155 lbs according to himself.

mikey's last fight was at 130, and he was only around 140 on figh tnight. two+ year layoff. yes, at his best mikey was a borderline p4per and looked special, but couple the two year layoff and two weight classes, and i think this is a bad fight, and one mikey would lose.

molina does have power, too, he just needs a willing opponent. he's certianly got the power to hurt mikey, a guy who was chinny all the way down to FW. for some perspective, molina hurt lucas matthysse, a strong, true 140 lber who had a great chin in his day, and wasn't shot by the time molina got to him. and mikey was hurt put down by roman martinez, a 130 lber with little power.

Molina even said that the unofficial weight was BS. Exposed these unofficial scales by saying they weighed him with jeans all his clothes, his wallet, cell phone ect in his pockets. He said no way was he 160. My guess he was around 12 a max 15 pounds rehydrated after making weight like normal fighter these days. Molina would be bigger no question the problem is Mikey will box his ears off. The only question is does Mikey stop him late. Molina was out boxed recently by Humberto Soto for christ sake, one of the 3 losses in a row and 4 losses out of 5 fight streak he had before Ruslah. He hasn't been the same since Matthysee shattered him. And even a prime Molina is just too slow and unskilled for Mikey.

molina said he was 155 lbs in an interview. i've always been a critic of unofficial scales. i'm not a critic of what a fighter tells me he weighs in a situation where he has no reason to lie.

there are plenty of unskilled and slower fighters at higher weights than garcia. the idea with boxing, and the reality of boxing, is that you can fight a guy who is so much bigger that itwouldn't matter. 15 lbs is a ton of weight in a boxing match, nevermind after a two year layoff. not only would the 15 lb difference matter, it would be how they got there. molina kills himself to make 140, and puts on 15 lbs overnight. mikey killed himself to make 126 and 130, but he's not going to be killing himself to make 140. he'll probably walk into the ring 10-15 lbs lighter than molina, and after not shedding lots of weight himself.

i'm also curious; have any of you watch mikey spar yet? he looks like he needs several fights to get back to where he was, if he can ever get there. 2.5 years without a single fight is a long, long time.
