Golovkin came to the States because he was being frozen out by German promoters who didn't want him anywhere near their own minor cash cows.

He has only been in the country for 3 1/2 years and didn't earn more than $1million for any fight till Munroe.

Despite being ducked by title holders Martinez, Quillin and Geale during that time, he is now a 3 belt world title holder himself and has headlined his 1st PPV. The progress he has made in such a short span of time is astounding.

HBO are pushing him for a reason ... and it sure as hell isn't because he comes from Kazakhstan!

by the way canelo next fight doesnt have to be ppv, he has a contract with hbo where he needs to fight on regular hbo at least once a year, you know someone needs to bring suscribers to the network so that hbo can pay others for mismatches...

I heard it only did TWO PPV buys!!! I bought it and I don't know who the other one is that bought it.

I also heard GGG/Lemuix did OVER a FKN BILLION PPV buys!!!

It did about 600K buys. The tickets ranged from $250-$1500 and they were 3000 away from a sold out arena. Maybe they should of just offered 1,000s of $25 tickets to sale it out??? Like ggg. But a salty fk like u will come up with some BS like it sold only 50 tickets and the fight was on BET in South Dakota.

Canelo had earlier OFFERED to make 150 for Mayweather, and Leonard Ellerbe took them at their word and negotiated 152..... but Canelo offered 150, and accepted 152, because he is clearly a JMW..... so yea, I don't get your point at all there.
