They can say whatever, but it doesn't happen. Crawford vs. Postol shouldn't be PPV, but it is happening. GGG vs. Lemieux was PPV, but Jacobs vs. Quillen was not. Thurman vs. Porter is not. Haymon guys don't get many PPVs.

Broner isn't ready for 147 yet. He showed 140 is where it's at for him albeit against limited opposition. He gets beaten by any top 5 fighter at 147 at the moment. Garcia should fight Khan then the winner of Thurman & Porter.

I'll believe Jay Z & Al Haymon can work together when I see it. I think Jay Z throwing offers out to a bunch of Haymon guys upon entering the promotion business was a sign of beef or the start of a beef.

Don't know why some of these promotors don't take advantage of dates, locations??? Like when Broner fought Porter? Both from Ohio and they did it in Vegas??? Would like to see Rig. Or Lara, heck even Gamboa fight some big names in Cuba...
Agree. Battle of OH in Vegas....okayyyyyy. Can you fight in Cuba yet? I don't think you can. But yea Lara, Rigo, Gamboa, Rances, Ortiz, etc & so on should have the Miami boxing market booming right now, but somehow they hardly ever fight there. I imagine if you spent more time building up the Cuban guys in Miami they could make it comparable to the PR boxers in NY angle & to a lesser much degree like the Mexican boxer in Cali & Texas angles. Taking advantage of building fan bases is underrated these days. I remember when Virgil Hill was HUGE in North f#cking Dakota. There are so many possibilities to take with building up names beginning in their own communities/cities that aren't being taken advantage of.

I do suspect a lot of this is about some places offering site fees to put a fight there as happens in Vegas alot, but I think you probably are looking at more money in the end if you take a slower route by building a following & loyalty locally/regionally that you'll never be able to duplicate with having Ohio guys fighting in Vegas instead of Ohio. We are all tribalists more or less & wanna see the Ohio guy in Ohio if we are in Ohio or whatever the case. I talk about this alot with building up a PPV star in the US when you got a non-Latino foreign guy. I believe its such a rough road the only two guys who've had much success with it are Manny & Lennox. This same logic goes down to the regional/state level too.

          I don't think Broner has a choice. He can't make 140 anymore.

EXACTLY!!! Yeah I read on USATODAY yesterday that US. Airlines are offering flights to Cuba for the 1st time in 5 decades. The DOT gave American Airlines and 5 other airlines permission to fly to 9 Cuban cities beginning in the fall.

But I never understood why Cuban Fighters didn't take advantage of Miami??? Mexicans fightining in Texas,Cali, even Vegas builds their fan base up REALLY fast and you get to really know the fighters. U rarely can build up a fighter when he fights clear across the country all the time.

Crawford fighting in his own town helped his career out a LOT!! And bringing one of the biggest matches ever there against Gamboa was HUGE!!! Now his fans storm Vegas by the bus loads to watch him fight.

Well you can go there, but you can't fight there. I believe Cuba banned pro boxing when Fidel took over. All pro sports I think tbh.

Its not the fighters so much as the promoters. Maybe for some reason, money or otherwise, it doesn't make sense idk. Cuban fans aren't loyal like PR's in NY or Mexicans in TX & CA or something idk. I'd think people closer to the issue have some reasoning for it cuz it does seem like an obvious thing to take advantage of for these highly skilled Cuban boxers who have virtually no fanbase largely cuz they aren't fighting in the one place in the US with a ****load of Cubans.

Exactly Crawford is a great example of one of the few guys who are doing this now & has created a nice following. That following is gonna be loyal to him til he retires. You can't put a price on that.

Translation: I can't beat anybody that matters at welterweight. So let me fight the circus freak in order to keep my paper trinket a lil longer. And maybe it buys me enough time for Floyd to come back and beat him for a lot more money than I'd make getting beat by any of the other top welters.

Ok so im puerto rican. Theres a steriotype that goes around that ,Puerto ricans are lazy. Well although danny is indeed a good fighter, but he isnt fighting at all. I have no idea what hes waiting for. I literally think even Spence could beat danny. 147 is a huge class because most the dudes in it now are BIG welters. Dannys being lazy by not fighting at all. You have people like GGG who want to fight 3 times a year, and then you have lazy ass fighters like danny who fights once in a while against lackluster foes. Actions speak louder than words, danny is no draw like he thinks, his father is a disgrace to real puerto rican boxing. They are picking and choosing as if they are at the end of their career, boo!
