I'm a fan of Thurman, but nothing there says "Thurman is in line to fight Mayweather." Of course he'll say (and many others) "what did Berto do?" Berto was just a way to cash out his Showtime contract and retire!
And if I remember correctly the Chavez win is what made him the #1 contender for the WBA strap. Again, he did exactly what he was supposed to do, but he just was'nt worth Floyd's time.

I'd pick Spence over Thurman with a stoppage as of this moment.

Maidana beat Broner for the WBA WW title in December 2013, and then Floyd (coming off a win over Canelo in 2013) fought Maidana twice in 2014, followed by Manny Pacquiao in 2015. I don't know what fight gave Thurman the WBA WW title.

Thurman was elevated to WBA regular champion just before the Guerrero fight, because he was the number one ranked fighter for the WBA, and had been since the Chavez fight. Not sure why the title was vacant in order for him to be elevated, but the WBA with their regular and Super Champion **** is annoying.

My thoughts exactly, even that video of him sparring porter Thurman seemed in love with himself moreso than paying attention to what he did wrong, I think Thurman may be underestimating the dog in Porter.

Floyd will always take the easier fight when given the top two biggest threats.
