Errol Spence vs. the field at WW, who ya got?

How do you think he fairs against the best of the best.

I have a feeling they're setting Spence up for a fight with Danny G. That seems to be the biggest money fight they can make, meanwhile they have to build Spence's name up, and PBC is definitely helping with that.

I think Haymon's grand plan is to groom Spence as the future of the division, give him some decent fights, put him in there with a top guy to see if he really is the goods, then setup a Spence/Danny fight for PPV.

if he looks the same at the top tier level I'd have spence beating all.......dannys too small. thurman gets hurt to the body (although thurman should beat porter) and porter gets knocked out..........brook gets knocked down a couple of times and loses a wide decision.

Either Thurman or Porter will get to Danny before Spence. So the one that could happen in 2017 is Thurman/Porter vs Spence.

Here's how I think Spence does against the top dogs at 147:

Brook - Brook has a tremendous jab and right hand, but he isn't very mobile and won't be able to stay away from Spence, he can't fight in the pocket and Spence is too big and strong to clinch, he's a lot better than Porter who gave him a close fight. I think Spence by late stoppage.

Thurman - I see Thurman doing well early but Spence will do a lot of body work and slow Keith down, once he closes the distance, Thurman will struggle because he also can't fight in the pocket and he doesn't clinch either. Spence by decision in a competitive fight.

Bradley - He could give Spence some problems if he sticks to a gameplan and uses his feet for 12 rounds, but I would still favour Spence regardless. Spence by wide decision.

Porter - his best chance would be to use his feet for 12 rounds and use that solid double jab of his on the move. Porter's got good skill but doesn't utilise it enough, he's got very quick hands and feet and a solid jab when he uses it. I would pick Spence by decision, Porter is very tough and durable.

Danny - he's just too slow on his feet and not a good enough boxer to cause Spence any sort of problems. Can't fight inside either. Spence by massacre.

Sammy Vasquez - this guy is one to watch, he's gonna be a problem at 147. He's got great skill and can fight very well on the inside and outside. Very rangy and mobile, great variation on his punches as well. I he could give Spence a very good fight and even beat him.

I have him beating everybody at 147 except Brook. Not saying he won't beat Brook but I think Brook gives him his biggest test. I think Brook is the only WW about the same size as Spence.

I think Spence is the best welterweight fighting today and he beats them all. I doubt Angel will allow Danny to fight Spence. Garcia hasn't fought anybody dangerous since Lucas.

Huh? He's never made 147? He made it his last two fights. He didn't make it the two previous fights before those because those were last minute replacements so neither one had to make 147

Ah yes...the dreaded Kell Brook, whom slapped and grabbed his way to victory over Shawn Porter.

Brook had his hands full with Carson Jones.

Spence would vaporizes Brook.
