Sometimes, when I'm in a sadistic mood, I'll watch something from that run of fights in which Vitali absolutely picked apart guys like Areola, Briggs, Adamek, etc. It's like watching my cat play with a cricket.

Arreola is a shot fighter. A few years ago, I thought he'd beat Wilder. Not today.

It's going to be a boring fight, with Wilder teeing off on Areola until either he goes down (most likely) or the ref stops it (not likely, Areola would rather go down when the pressure gets going).

The fight is a waste of time.

That was really slick how they drugged Povetkin. Now they can fight a whole new string of bums.

He looked totally shot on his comeback after Stiverne II. It wasn't just being fat, he can't pull the trigger anymore and his punch resistance which used to be good is mediocre at best. Wilder should ko Cristobal anytime in the middle rounds. Maybe Henry shows some mercy and rescues Cris at some point in the middle rounds.

I do the same sometimes it was a good run he had after the long layoff, too bad we didn't get the Vitali-Haye fight.

Povetkin was framed.

How obvious do you need it to be.

Wilder goes and has a little vacation in London then flies home. He was never going to go to Moscow.

The syndicate which owns Wilder falsified the sample. With all the Russians testing positive for this drug recently, Povetkin was just one more Russian.

What's funny is they say he passed two prior tests that month and then failed a test. So he must have taken a heart medication to juice after the 2 tests, in order to have trace levels?

He had trace levels.

He had passed 2 tests within the month.

This is indicative of at best a false-positive, at worst foul play, before it is of doping.

So now we get a worthless fight like Wilder-Areola, with a lot more worthless fights to come. They'll probably use their litigation against Povetkin as an excuse to not fight a mandatory, thus fighting more and more bums.

Anyone thinking this is going to be a fun, action-packed fight is living in a dream world. This isn't going to be remotely competitive. Arreola's going to come in looking like a wet noodle and get blown away before he has a chance to mount any sort of offence.

Those same people are then going to moan about how shitty the heavyweight division is (whilst ignoring the cruiserweight division as usual, the cure to all their woes) while hardcore Wilder fans are going to go on about how easily Wilder destroyed a man that went eleven rounds with Klitschko (whilst ignoring the fact that Arreola's punch resistance is totally caput, as are all his other faculties).

This has to be the worst, most least deserving HW title fight in recent memory. There isn't a single redeeming thing about it.

Arreola has another shot at the title, but these opponents fighting Wilder are so below par, it's embarassing. But then again, not his fault the Povetkin fight didn't happen. Apparently, if you lose a number of title fights, you just get another chance, and another, and again, in Arreola's case.

The only way that Arreola beats Wilder is if they offer him a free Chinese buffet for a year.
