i hope loma isn't rushed into moving up in weight, like broner and guerrero were in recent times. ever since pacquiao and mayweather's weight climbing exploits people seem to view it as a shortcut to a great legacy, but i'd much rather that fighters clear out their divisions before abandoning them. 130 is potentially the best division in boxing right now

Obviously a long way to go before Loma is in Pac's class, but I thought a lot of his moves against Martinez were Pac-like. Some of those fancy shifts and popping lefts were classic Manny.

I do believe we are witnessing greatness in the flesh. Lomachenko is such a complete fighter, it's amazing to see. His footwork, combination punching, counter punching, defense, hand placement, everything is incredibly sharp. We're seeing a master class here, and hopefully the word gets out and people (casuals) pay attention.

Loma is a very good fighter....I think 140 will be his ceiling

135 is exactly deep....he should stay at 130 and clean up....rematch Salido and Russell then go to 135 and unify. Where the hell is nicolas walters?

If postol, Broner, Crawford and Matthyssee are at 140 when he arrives, it will be an uphill battle

even adrian granados has a shot to beat him there...he is too big, strong and busy.

How long you figure it will take him to fill out at 140? One thing I noticed about Loma is that he's naturally very strong (In the Salido fight, Salido was never able to man-handle Loma despite a huge weight advantage, Loma was just too gun-shy until the later rounds), so I think if he does move up, his strength will move up with him, and he won't necessarily have to rely purely on his technical skills when potentially fighting someone like Crawford.

About time we have a Pacquiao alternative. I hope he doesn't get rid of his interpreter and not have to speak broken english.

I can see it, in all honesty I seen more of a WOW factor in Loma than Ive seen in HBO's other top stars like GGG and Kovalev. The way Loma let his hands go also reminded me a lot of Manny Pacquiao, in fact the only difference I see is Loma has more educated footwork.

Arum is just trying to promote. Nobody should get offended by it.

I hope he doesn't get rushed into moving up in weight either. 130 and 126 are great divisions and Loma should try to clean up.

Loma's footwork is insane. I had to rewatch but man, that is speed.. and it's always setting up or defending against something, not just wasted movement. The way he quickly circled, landed shots then circled back to land more, very impressive. It'd be a toss up to guess who has better footwork(strictly talking footwork here), considering a prime PAC, but I think Loma edges it.
