Comments Thread For: Arum Sees Lomachenko as Next Pacquiao: He'll Beat Anybody!

As a promoter, Bob Arum is paid to pump up his clients. Hyperbole is a staple of his repertoire. Yet, judging by the performances of junior lightweight Vasyl Lomachenko, particularly in winning the WBO belt on Saturday, Arum might not be far off in calling him boxing's ''next superstar.''

All of a sudden Arum is aggressively promoting Loma hmmmm. He had a gem of a fighter on his hands but didn't really put much energy into promoting him until some of his favourites lost something about them.

I guess with Pacquiao retired Arum has to back someone to lead Top Rank

I expect Loma to climb up through 8 weight classes too

He'll get a LHW belt someday

Lomachenko is a great talent but slow down with the Pacquiao comparison. Lomachenko has a long way to go before reaching icon status. Let's be real, who would put there money on Loma jumping to Jr Welterweight and beating Crawford or Postol?

If Loma can get to 140 eventually, and dominate, he'll be the biggest thing in boxing. But that's a big if.
