The funny thing is plenty of posters predicted Fury would be a nightmare for Wlad to fight, broke down why and were proved completely correct.
And yet after the fight everyone was looking for excuses for Wlad from emotional problems to getting old.

he didnt get old over night...it took 40 yearsSo a lot of uneducated posters are trying to tell us that Wladimir Klitschko suddenly got old overnight or had an off night against Fury, most lean towards his punch output - 252 thrown over 12 rounds - as clear proof.
That's an average of 21 shots per round.
However, let's go look at some history from when Wlad was in his absolute prime, shall we?
First up is the barnstormer, the hagler-hearns of heavyweights, the IBF & WBO unification of Klitschko vs Ibragimov. Yeah you know, the fight that turned HBO off heavyweight boxing for 3-4 years.Yup, that's the one.
Wladimir Klitschko punch stats:
348 shots fired over 12 rounds. That's 29 shots per round where 20-21 of those were jabs.
Let's then move to another all time great fight, where Klitschko was faced with another guy that could move - Yet, in this fight he really shows how the Fury fight was a one off - Klitschko vs Chambers.

Let's go to the Klitschko vs Haye fight.
Klitschko threw a thunderous 133 power shots (11/round) and landed only a measly 29 power shots (2,4/round)
That's not enough you say, Haye was running! Ok, let's go to the next example. I was one of the lucky few who went to see this fight live.
Klitschko vs Thompson 2. The much anticipated rematch.
Klitschko faced with an out of shape and dull opponent who was clearly not the same as he was the first time the two met, threw 121 shots over 6 rounds - That's even less than he threw against Fury!
We have seen this tendency from Wlad at various points throughout his career, in his prime in fact.
The difference between then and now is that wasn't in the ring with a small guy who had zero power, or a guy who wasn't willing to do *** all. And he was not in there with a guy who could only go for 4-5 rounds.
He was in with Tyson Fury. And that's why he lost.
So please, let's put these embarrassing "I'm in denial" arguments to bed and focus on the truth, which is that Klitschko has looked OK against mostly overmatched and static opposition for a long long time.
Tyson had a difficult style for him to deal with considering he is a technician, who fights at a deliberate pace and doesn't take many chances.
Too disregard he is past prime and has been for sometime is not being realistic. The man is 40 years old and its a testiment to his greatness that he has fought on a high level for so long, but lets not act like Tyson Fury is some all time great
If he fights any of the other top heavyweights like Wilder, Joshua, Ortiz in the near future...its gonna be lights out.....they go for the ko....wlad lets it come to him...two different beastsComment

Wlad fights extremely cautious post-sanders, Brewster. It took him 12 rounds to throw a meaningful shot versus Jennings ffs. I can't see wlad doing anything different even if he had fought Fury in 2007. The video evidence is there. When he faces a threat, his output is pathetic. Fury was able to do a bit more and that was enough.
I have no idea why such a terrible fight gets so much attention. It was easily one of the worst championship fights in history. It makes Lewis-Akinwande look like a classic.Comment
