  • Comments Thread For: Mairis Briedis To Tony Bellew: I'm Next in Line, Not David Haye!

Dangerous cruiserweight contender Mairis Briedis (20-0, 17KOs) could care less about Tony Bellew's desire to get in the ring with former two-division world champion David Haye.

Bring it I say. I like Breidis and he's earned the shot. David Haye frankly doesn't deserve it IMO, despite the obvious financial appeal and I think Drozd really should have a tune up before he gets back in the mix.

Don't really agree with the WBC 'champ in recess' bullshit. Drozd and Linares had dangerous mandatories and delayed the fights as long as possible and then started claiming injuries. Strip them and move on to more deserving guys like Breidis, who is one of the best and ballsiest at the weight.

With Breidis and Drozd in the mix. The Haye fight looks way off.
With Mandatories, champs in recess, weight issues...it just looks like it was Bellew (mainly) and Haye just getting there name out there a little more.

Bellew against Breidid or Drozd next sounds good to me.

Yeah Drozd should be ashamed how he jumped at Bellew after ducking.

Hearn desperate for Haye to take his sights off of Joshua, this ruse hasn't worked for him and Bellew. A ppv stinker return for Bellew would only become a top fight with Haye opposite, plus it buys Hearn more time to keep lining up the likes of Whyte, Martin and Breazeale in ppv's before Joshua has to face mandatories tests he will likely be knocked out in versus Parker and Pulev.

I see right through Hearn's bull shyt.
