It's not about paying them what they are worth.

It's about paying them what there contracts/fighters demand.

Haymons prices have forced everyone to pay more. HBO has taken a stand on there business model, znd budget, and decided to invest in specific fighters, and decided they won't under any circumstances pay more for other fighters.

Dudes like Walters demanding a million is insane. The sport can't and won't operate like this anymore

This is how the sport should be run, and how it will be run in the future once PBC crashes.

Lets not bs & make stuff up. HBO has had a budget since the start. They are making no "stand". They are invested in boxing less. They've been doing that since before anyone knew who the f#ck Al Haymon was. They just paid Wade, a Haymon fighter, half a mill, for some reason as he probably deserved half of that absolute maximum, to get KTFO by GGG.

This is 1990, Arum will see the hell out of the rights to all of those fights outside of the states. People really don't seem to understand the value in media holdings. Arum does not lose money folks, maybe after 50 years you guys would finally figure it out.

No, it is a stand, thzts why they aren't oayng for loma walters, or Crawford Postol.

In the past they would of just overspent and destroyed there budget for fights that probably Wouldn't done anything special in the ratings department.

You know, like the days when they worked with Haymon?

Or how Showtime does it now with Haymon. Destroying your budget for some half assed ratings.

Yeah, hbo is moving away from that.

Well Mr. Arum put on better fights and cards and maybe your stars would get more money from HBO.

Arum doesn't consistently put on fights that fans want to see. Majority of the time their miss matches or rematches. We fans want to see something new.

Loma has star potential but only fighting twice a year doesn't help grow his star.
He doesn't generate that type of cash flow to only fight twice a year.

Loma gained a lot of momentum last night. They have to bring him back ASAP imo. I'm thinking September and then again in December.
There are a lot of good names at 126 and 130, so they have lots to choose from. Loma will probably have to fight Miguel Berchelt next though.

If Arum wants to do PPV they must have a better undercard than the one on July 23rd.
Oscar Valdez is one of my favorite fighters, but his opponent is meh. It's not their fault though, the WBO is the one that has that guy ranked high.
I wouldn't mind seeing TR solo PPV's, just to keep the fighters more active, but they just can't sell the main event.
And I'm sure there are ways to get a great undercard without wasting a lot of money. Some fighters would probably sacrifice and take a pay cut in order to be active.
Lomachenko should take a pay cut for Berchelt, who isn't a big name.

Idk I'm just rambling. I'm just throwing out ideas. They have to think of something.

What if HBO actually starts using their budget wisely and not just on showcase fights then we'll see who deserves to be shown on HBO more.
I know my boy Vasiliy will fight the best at 126 and 130, so I have nothing to worry about. Well, the opponents may want a lot of money.

I wish these people would just start working together. I'm rooting for boxing not a particular company.

Sounds like Nelson & Arum got beef & a stand is being made with Arum. They throwing TR guys on PPV cards to do 250k buys.

In the past they would of just overspent and destroyed there budget for fights that probably Wouldn't done anything special in the ratings department.
There budget is destroyed this year. They don't seem to got money for Ward's agreed upon second tuneup + it sounds like if Loma wants to fight again he'll need to fight on PPV too.

You know, like the days when they worked with Haymon?
Like I said Wade just made half a mill & he's a Haymon guy. They still overpaying Haymon guys. Sounded like Khan got paid nicely too, although that was outside their budget constraints.

Or how Showtime does it now with Haymon. Destroying your budget for some half assed ratings.
Showtime definitely has issues, but there biggest issue right now is not having a regular boxing schedule. The upside for them is they seem to be working with Haymon to some degree & at some point that could payoff for them. Could being the keyword there as who knows Showtime's or Haymon's or any joint long term plans they have at this point.

Yeah, hbo is moving away from that.
LOL HBO is moving away from boxing brother. You're living in denial. HBO's boxing budget has been dropping since the late 1990's or early 2000's at very least. There is no stance being taken here other than HBO saying that HBO Boxing isn't making them as much money as they feel they should be or HBO is looking to throw money at other more profitable ideas & concepts thus they are getting less money. Its as simple as that.

What the hell are you talking about, top ranks ppv is done through HBO because hbo doesn't want to break budget, and top rank cant underpay.

Just stop with the nonsense already.

TR probably made so much on May/Pac fight they can afford if some PPV aren't profitable

I like this attitude by Arum, F.uck it if HBo doesn't want to pay then throw it on PPV he'd rather keep developing his fighters. It's not that big of a investment for them and there should be enough boxing fans if it's a good card to do ok #s.
