In general, and if we talk about ethnic Russians who actually live in Russia, they have rounder faces, higher cheekbones, sometimes more slanty eyes compared to most of Europeans, soft jaw line and soft features in general and Anglo Saxonic people in general tend to have square jaws and longer faces with stronger facial features compared to Russians. These are the only first things I could remember from the start and sure, there's more differences.

Anglo Saxonic people and Russians have different haplogroups, it's a scientific fact, you can love it or hate it. You think that almost 300 years of Mongol Yoke didn't have any effect on gene pool of people here? And if you think that all Europeans looks the same, think about it - there's more than 120 native ethnicities living in Russia. Do you think that people here can't distinguish Armenians or Dagestanis from ethnic Russians, for example? But if all Europeans had the same features, we wouldn't be able to distinguish Russians from Armenians and vice versa. Saying that all white Europeans look the same is as ignorant as saying that all Asians looks the same or as ignorant as saying that all black people look the same, for example, African Americans and Ethiopians. Every ethnicity has it's own genetic background and it's ****** to deny that. That's why every ethnicity is unique and beautiful in it's own way

When I was in Thailand, and saw a huge Asian guy who was taller than 2 meters (6'5) with bulky bodyshape I was damn sure that he's definitely not Thai or Chinese, he's probably some tourist from Central Asia or Russia (native Siberian or Far Easterner) and it turned out to be true

You might think that all Thai and Chinese people look the same but if you start living in the same environment with both of these group of people, seeing them every day, you'll start differentiate these ethnic groups throughout time. The same thing here, if you never lived in Russia or Ukraine, you might think that these 4 faces belong to the same ethnic group







But for Russians it's quite obvious which one of these 4 fighters is Slavic here and what's the ethnic origin of other 3 fighters even if they're not familiar with all these fighters at all

And speaking about that part when you said it's hard for you to distinguish people of different ethnicities - I can spot an Anglo person easily in Russian crowd or any other tourist here judging only by facial features.

It's actually easy to spot a person who's not coming from your environment. When I was in Thailand, I've had a really easy time spotting another Russian tourists there, even when I couldn't see the face of some tourist and only his/her back, I could guess if that person is Russian or not with 100% accuracy. I was always right. I don't even know how to explain that, but you notice all microexpressions, all aspects of body language, facial features, mimic that would look distinct in your environment. I'm pretty sure that, for example, German tourist would spot another Germans with ease and Irish guy would spot Irish tourists and so on. I guess it's not like that in America, where people of all European ethnicities americanized to some extent. Keep in mind that different languages using and forming different face muscles so it has some effect on the way how people look too. I know a person who lived in America for more than 15 years and when he got back to Russia to visit his parents he was looking completely foreign among other people here, everything about him looked foreign even his face. That's a deep topic to discuss

I can distinguish a Russian (who's actually living in Russia) and Anglo person, these ethnicites even have completely different haplogroups in their genes. And yes, I live next to border with China, there's a lot of asians living here so I can distinguish these Asian ethnicities like Koreans, Chinese or Siberian natives as well

You are referring more to Asia minor people Kazach, tajik, and maybe small minority communities in Russia. I would say a Ukranian and German people have more similar genetic make up than a Japanese person and a Vietnamese person.

If you took away culturally distinguishing traits, clothes, attitude, accent etc, telling Eastern and western Europeans apart would be tricky.

Anglo peoples can also have round faces and soft features. I think that Germans are more typical with the strong jaw line and pronounced brow...

oh come on while the way hbo talks about him is beyond annoying and ridiculously overdone and almost pathetically desperately hyping him up the truth is the guy is the real deal. I actually dont agree with arum i think he can be a cross over star whether he can get on a ggg type level tho thats not going to happen. people love eastern european fighters right now tho and they get more credit then american fighters for whatever reason "we dont need to get into why".

But to say hes a fraud is beyond ridiculous. if you cant watch him fight and see the obvious talent im not sure what it is ur watching. I think him losing to salido set him back with dumb fans but lets be honest salido is probably the worst person he could been matched up with that early in his career. i think if they fought again salido would be lucky to win a round.

The problem tho is his star power is going to come down to if arum can get him good matchups or not. hes to dam good to be in with over macthed guys. I personally get nothing out of guys like ggg, kovalev, stephenson knocking out over matched fighters. rocky while hes a game fighter is not the type of matchup that will turn him into a star. That was beyond a mismatch and hbo talking about rocky like he was some sort of p4p fighter was pretty annoying. Arum needs to put his ego aside and truly work with haymon so they can make some fights.

It sounds like hes also willing to move up in weight even more to secure big fights which to me speaks volumes. too many fighters these days cant secure big fights and are unwilling to move up in weight and fight the best which puts them in an endless circle of being "ducked" and fighting fringe contenders. But regardless man I think you are wrong on this one lomo is the real deal and that doesnt change if he losses a fight
