It's OK to retire Ruslan! You'll be respected for your bravery! It's time to go home. "Face First" is not a long-term strategy!

fans sure seem to love brawlers then after they have 3 or so wars they ready to thrown them out with the trash. its the one sad thing about boxing in general how fans want it all from fighters then want to see them gone soon they have a a bad showing

Idk, I'd rather be a little quick to dismiss a fighter than to see him stay long enough to get irreversibly damaged. If the fighter himself saying he doesn't know if he has the fire anymore, has taken the number of punches Ruslan's taken, and looked as bad as Ruslan did in a fight where he was a huge favorite isn't enough to call for his retirement then shiet... idk what is.

prov is lucky he didn't take the crawford fight. that would have been a beating and he would have been kicked off with no future. now at least he has that showtime contract where he can make more money for beign a tomato can.

Well said! No one wants to see Ruslan with brain damage! Do you think boxing will have to address rehydration? I think fighters need to be fined for rehydration, but I don't know how much weight they should allow. Maybe 10-15? 20lbs. was just too much for Ruslan!

The way he fights, I'd say retire. I really like his fights, but he's in deep water and can't really beat the top anymore or ever really. The shots he took from Mathysse was scary.
