No announcement yet.
Golovkin talks about it, Loma does it.

I don't think Martinez is a better boxer than Murray anyway.. Achievement wise he may have the edge but that is never the whole story is it! Murray arguably beat two of the best MW's of the past decade (admittedly ageing) Sergio & AA..

Loma gets handed a shot at a title in his second professional fight, loses, and then gets handed another shot in his next fight. After winning he title he fights no one of name, and when he decides to move up 4 lbs,he gets handed another title shot. The guy is basically being handed opportunities based off of his amature career, and not based off of his accomplishments in his professional career. I guarantee you that if golovkin or kovalev had been given a title shot in their second fights and had lost, theyd have been sent back to butt**** europe, and we would have never heard of them again.

Good performance from Loma but lets not get carried away Roman Martinez is one of the worst so called world class fighters out.
If it wasn't for a load of dubious decisions he'd of been completely irrelevant years back.
He isn't as good as a Murray & probably not a LeMule or Geale either.
Heavily overrated due to his toughness & fan friendly style.
He's just a solid gatekeeper type really.
Good performance, the manner he won makes it that bit more impressive but Roman Martinez is what he is. A technically limited tough guy who leads with his face.

lets say for a second bute got the robbery decision win over jack and ggg moved up to figth him. what would boxingscene say......that's great? omg ggg's moving up and taking a risk? pretty sure it would be why isn't he fighting degale! bute just lost! he's willing to fight bute but not ward wtf? he's cherry picking the weakest champ! low expectations are a great thing to have. its like if eric crumble went the distance in a 4 roudn fight. people would be like wow he's better than ggg!

ward - kovalev is a signed fight. i'm shading kovalev. the winner will be the best p4p fighter on the planet.
just look at froch's face. "i worked for my entire life to get here, and i failed miserably. i'm just lucky this kid can't punch a bit harder.
"
i imagine that's how the rest of you looked. i was more jubilant than our andre
Ward DID say that he could beat a Klitschko and he also wanted (2) tuneups prior to fighting Kovalev. Since he has only gotten (1) tuneup under his belt so far, I wouldn't hold my breath on that fight happening this year.
The main argument that people use when coming at GGG is that he said 154-168 and people tend to cling on to that statement for dear life but when it comes to Ward, he can say what he wants, he is not held accountable. I think it's extremely biased and I can attribute most of it to Ward being American and GGG not being American but I know that there is also another reason as well.
