I don't blame Loma for making all he can each time out because the next opportunity is never a guarantee. That being said, I can certainly understand why Walters' stood his ground. It's gotta be frustrating to see another fighter with the same promoter as you being catered to so heavily.......

Hey, I'm not mad. If Walters wants more money, it's understandable. He should start fighting so he can start hyping up the fight, sitting at home won't help the fight become bigger. Maybe Walters should try to get the WBA belt. A unification will surely help him get more money.

Here's the thing about the bolded part, Loma agreed to Walters' date and agreed to fight Walters at 130, so why can't Loma at least take more of the money? Plus, in order to make the Walters fight at 130 Loma would have probably been stripped out of his belt. Loma was making more of the sacrifices and people still want to complain?
I thought Loma was scared of Walters? Walters should have let the poor scared Loma take more money then beat his ass during the fight, right?

Maybe Walters should have a made a concession for the weight issue. I doubt the date mattered much to either party but I wasn't privy to the details of the contracts.

I think Arum should have made things right for both fighters, that's his job. I think his attitude toward the issue is what really bothered Walters.

BTW, don't recall many people claiming Loma was scared of Walters. From my perspective I thought it was a situation where the business side of boxing prevented the fight.

I like both and think Loma gets the nod in terms of amateur pedigree but he and Walters are about the same in terms of excitement. I don't follow ratings so I can't speak on their respective drawing power......however I doubt many people outside of real boxing fans know who either of them are.

I didn't compare him to Loma, I'm saying guys like Rocky, Vargas, Salido would take that purse in a second, and 2/3 bring a belt and all have more fans. Loma is obviously overpaid for what he brings but he's doing historic stuff again and seems like a special talent.

People don't think that. They thought he should've made as much as Lomachenko. Same promoter & Walters has headlined more cards. Lomachenko isn't even headlining this card. It's Verdejo and Martinez in New York the weekend of the Puerto Rican festival.

He's headlining but yeah I agree he is no draw and is overpaid for being a special talent and doing historical stuff
