I agree with Big George as well, seems like his size but also his demeanor back then, didn't seem like the fun loving smiling type of guy that he is now and when he worked on HBO, back in his Prime:

Yeah George was a monster for sure. I'd say joe louis, jack Dempsey, liston, foreman, hagler and tyson are up there. Louis may seem out of place on the list but the majority of his opponents were scared stiff before ever getting in the ring. Foreman...just look at his record before rumble in the jungle, anybody would of been scared.

stop posting fighters you never seen fight in their prime.

for me prime roy jones jr>>>>>>prime iron mike

prime iron mike never really fought anybody. when he finally fought a truly great fighter, the bully back downed.

personality wise, nobody was better than prime tyson, only prime ali trumps prime tyson in the personality department.

I'm a huge Tyson fan but Foreman gets my vote.

Lots of people don't realize Liston was something of a mentor to Foreman. Liston sparred with Foreman early in his career and taught him a lot about the sport. George was already a mean dude to begin with but he became more of a menacing presence after learning from Liston.
