Clay was great in the ring but a flawed man outside in public

Clay Ali was a talented boxer in the ring with major issues outside the ring in that Black islam hatred religion of white people but refusing to defend his country was what made Clay flawed and a damaged individual deserving of scorn by decent Americans. Those kids who fought for America and died for their country were much bigger heroes than Clay. Clay deserves praise for boxing as a talented champ but Clay also deserves barbs for hating America when called to serve.Remember the boxer Clay but forget the damaged man.

Amazing to see how the whole world has felt his passing. I knew he was likely to go soon and wondered how people would respond, if they still cared. Aside from Princess Di, I can't remember another death in my lifetime that was so widely observed. And, hers was largely about the shock, Ali's is just a genuine appreciation for the man.

Just left the ceremony. Touching, beautiful. All I have to say is, money may can keep rackin it up all he wants, it doesn't matter in the end. The world spoke today whom the greatest remains to be. Honored to have been here today, but 23 year old Ali is the best Heavyweight ever IMO.

Great man has left the world. I don't know if it is the realisation of him dying, or his passing coupled with the week's end, but tears came to my eyes.

His work in the ring is legendary but it is his actions as a man that will stick with me. He did what was right in the face of adversity. His body suffered but he attained a form of immortality that most people can only dream of. I hope that he is now able to rest in peace and that his family is able to take solace in what he gave to the world.

If money may "racking it up" doesn't matter then why do you idiots keep bringing his name up? STFU!

Those kids that died for no reason, least not their country. Those that didn't die in that he'll hole came back and protested the war's purpose and credibility. Ali was brave and he did the right thing. He refused to murder oppressed people's, especially on behalf of a nation that treated people of color as second class citizens.

You will never be able to fathom the courage and moral strength he possessed. He was amazing and all of your propaganda and what drum beating do nothing to deter his legacy. Ali refused to feed the beast, he stood down the corrupt political corporate war and sided with peace, thank you Ali, R.I.P.

You on it! The critical essence of an individual isn't about the money he makes but how he or she contributes to society at large.
