How many division champs have ever accepted challenges from lower division champs? #Lara...
Mayweather was nowhere near SWW, so I can see why he vacated. He used past-prime Oscar to launch himself into superstar status.

Roy was trying to set a record & so was Cotto, so I get their choice. Bowe was just afraid of Lewis, which is shameful. But Canelo talked shit after he KO'd Khan & even invited Golovkin to the ring when he did it. His subsequent blatant duck makes him look like a complete bitch. Add to that the fact that he's actually bigger than Golovkin & he looks even worse.

Lara seems to be the only guy lately with the balls to challenge Golovkin.

His wins have been undermined very much. He hasn't lost hardly a round and scored a KO or TKO in every single title fight he's had. Even if they all were chumps, that is impressive to say the least. However, I agree with you. I don't think they are. Geale, Murray and Lemeiux are all fine middleweights. At least Cotto did step in with Geale.

I agree with what you said, but regarding Cotto-Geale... Geale was drained to 157 and he looked awful. It wasn't the same Geale that fought Sturm. And he received a serious headbutt before the punch that knocked him down hard.

Couldn't take u seriously after your DLH segment. Oscar at 154 vs Floyd.. what was their weigh in? How old was Oscar when he fought Floyd? Now compare that answer (age) to Lil'G. When was Lil'Gs "prime?"

jacobs and lemieux can punch, but they're limited fighters.

saunders doesn't look like anybody to really write home about

lee is what he is, a powerful, large kid without a ton of speed or fluidity

i'm probably forgetting guys, but it's that kind of division.

canelo fights 155 and 147 lbers, and golovkin is so good that people want him to move up in weight and leave the biggest fight in boxing behind

Oh, wow. Okay. I didn't know about the weight, but I remember the head butt. Not sure that was Cotto's fault or anybody's, but I'm sure it played a factor. Great point!

                1. I just explained, Vanes got dropped and most had him losing to Ouma
                2. That wasn't the same Angulo, he's been shot for years. Lara is the only time Angulo looked good since ICE detention
                3. Ggg is hardly fighting SWWs. You're talking about a fight 5 years ago in Panama, and an undercard 3.5 years ago. It's not like blown up welters Zaveck and Delvin are better, they're worse and Lara fought them in the past year
Williams, Vanes twice, Angulo, Canelo all who out weight him fight night 5 to 10 lbs. When was the last time GGG fought someone that heavy ?

Lara record like it or not is way better than GGG, Lara is willing to fight him on his network on his weight class and the excuse of money is BS Lara fought for $1million vs Canelo who is 3 times better pvp guy than GGG.

                Stop the excuse.

Golovkin is without a doubt the best 160 fighter, meaning representing that division. There's no question about that.

At this point, fans can only WAIT...for what? For more belts? How will history write Golovkin winning all the belts from whom and when will it happen? Isn't the only logical point in being a historical boxer is to PROVE yourself? Only honest fans know he should already be at 168. How will history blame him for the current 160 division? It's not like it's practical to just erase or delete records. This is why I always have fun about Lil'G... dude is just straight wasting time at 160 if EVERYONE agrees, particularly casual fans, that there's nothing to prove at 160 since he will decisively win.

                  And remember, "154-168 easy doe"

160 is the best division in boxing and has the most talent ever in middleweight history at this moment

I'm American myself but it's clear as day if GGG was at 154, he would rule the division. Some idiot just tried to convince me Vanes was better than both Lemule and Murray.

In my opinion Lara is #1 at 154 and would lose to GGG quite handily if they fought.
