Indeed, they were both technically pretty sound, just very willing to be in the danger zone. Technique doesn't mean fighting defensively.

Normally you can watch a fight with the sound turned down and get a better idea of what's going on without the commentary. This fight was special. You could turn off the video, listen to the crowd and know it was a hell of a fight. Some guys are all about the zero and their corner cautions them not to let the crowd goad them into a war, stink if you have to. This is another school, I won't say it's better, but it's about gratifying the customers.

Will go down as one of the greatest Mexican wars of all time. Both guys showed more heart than the Grinch when he became nice.
