  • Comments Thread For: Hughie Fury Confident He Would Do a Real Job on Anthony Joshua

LONDON - Unbeaten heavyweight star Hughie Lewis Fury believes a potential rumble with IBF heavyweight champion Anthony Joshua would bear a striking similarity to the night Muhammad Ali bemused and broke George Foreman in Zaire in 1974.

Completely pointless comparison and AJ would take this guy out with ease

At least he did mention that Joshua and him aren't Ali and Foreman's standard of greatness. Actually, the ref probably stopped that fight too soon, however Foreman was likely exhausted and Ali would then have knocked him down again. Incredible strategy of rope-a-dope to win, even though it required taking a lot of punishment first.

Hughie has some talent, and 21 is young in todays heavyweight game.

I do think what he said about Joshua is true, but i wouldn't say the heavyweight scene is brimming with talent that can exploit his weaknesses by using movement and speed. I doubt Hughie would be the man to do it though....

If Haye was a few years younger and still very quick, i think he would make easy work of Joshua.

I'd beat him but have too many health problems to take a risky fight so gonna just fight a soft touch instead while continuing to talk about who I could beat in my dreams as if it was reality.

            Gmr

Hughie Fury pulled out of a fight with Dillian Whyte because his dad decided he wasn't ready for that level of competition. So if he's not up for Whyte after 20 outings, when is he ever going to be ready for Joshua?

OK he's small and has no knockout power so he will fail at the top level. Same record and same thing happened to Jennings'

Who's small? Hughie Fury is 6'6", same as AJ, with a similar reach.

Turned down a fight with Dillian Whyte because he wasn't ready for that level, but would beat Joshua. Yeah, ok.
